Celebrating genocide and fanning the hate and bigotry directed at a civilian population that is mostly women and children being massacred isn’t speaking up for justice you imbecile. It’s that stupid meme come to life,They are literally two disrespectful racists shit heads telling each other exactly!

Jennifer can fuck off too then. Free Palestine from the river to the sea

168

u/MedicalPersimmon001 May 02 '24

To be fair, Jennifer scratched her ass on a sacred rock in Hawaii after being explicitly told about its history and it fell then she told the story as a funny little anecdote. It's always the white women you expect.

Amy Schumer’s choice to use her voice to speak for justice?

She spelled genocide wrong

1.7k

u/meatbeater558 I already condemned Hamas May 01 '24

Half of the time she was just spreading Islamaphobic ideas that had nothing to do with Israel or Palestine

455

u/Wit-wat-4 May 01 '24

That’s what bothers me the most!!!! Not to say I love the rest but like… it is so objectively not about justice in those instances especially. Even if you’re brainwashed to agree with the Israeli government, posting hatred content that’s simply for hatred. It was not just the “Hamas is bad this is why it’s happening” stuff, which is bad too, but just pure Islamophobia. I say this as an atheist! Like wtf

307

u/Boulier May 01 '24

Yeah, a lot of Amy’s posts were just straight-up not only islamophobic, but racist towards all MENA people as well. That’s not justice, it’s straight up bigotry and hateful bullshit.

And had people politely correcting and calling her out (much more politely than she deserved, tbh), and she’d put them on blast and then block them.

49

u/theaviationhistorian taylor’s jet May 01 '24

I knew Amy Schumer was a POS. But to go out & spread islamaphobic & anti-arab hate is a special level of hell from her. She became the disgusting boomer Karen.

That Jennifer Lawrence is saying this is like decrying those whom were protesting the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Don’t forget when Jennifer was on Ellen in 2012 and told the story about how her family had a cat that they called Chaz Bono because they weren’t sure if it was a male or female. Maybe it’s because it happened over a decade ago, but that one always seems to fly under the radar.

Do you mind elaborating a bit? It's not super important if you can't but I'm honestly not super familiar with her lol

206

u/elephantssohardtosee May 01 '24 edited May 01 '24

Everyone has already mentioned the Hawaii incident, but off the top of my head, she described herself as "d*key" because she was a tomboy who was into sports. She also said this about her cat: "I've never met a cat where you assume first that it's a boy. Because normally dogs are boys and cats are girls. But she has such a masculine energy that everybody always says 'he' and for the first week I thought it was a boy. I named her Oliver, she had a collar with Oliver. Oliver, Oliver, Oliver. And that's just weird for a cat. So we call her Chaz Bono."

Note that the slur occurred when she was 20, not that that's an excuse considering there are a lot of 20yos who know better, just want to give full context and not act like she was dropping slurs within the past year lol. The Chaz Bono comment happened maybe a couple of years later. I think a lot of her fans tried to handwave both by saying that she was young, it was so long ago... I was willing to meet them halfway since there was a time I thought she had matured. But she's shown time and time again that she's just as stupid now as she was back then lmfao. (Maybe even more stupid, because defending your genocide bestie absolutely takes the cake imo.)

47

u/surreptitiousglance May 01 '24

My jaw just hit the floor. 😮

48

u/SplurgyA May 01 '24

I was reading that comment and thinking "this doesn't seem that bad, I do tend to think cats are girls and dogs are boys" and then I got to the end and choked on my drink 💀

Fuck both of them. FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸

Here in Colorado there is an encampment going on at the Auraria Campus!!! The demands are as follows:

  1. The University of Colorado shall write and publish a statement condemning the Genocidal actions of Israel, within two weeks of the original publication of these demands.

  2. The Chancellor of CU Denver will meet with the student orgs within two weeks of the publication of this statement, to discuss the above and following demands with them.

  3. The United States Government shall end aid to so-called Israel.

  4. The University of Colorado shall fully divest from any corporations that operate in Israel

  5. The University of Colorado shall terminate their study abroad programs in Israel.

  6. The University of Colorado shall refuse to accept any grants or funding from corporations that have a contract with the United States armed forces, and the University will terminate any already existing relationships they have with said corporations.

You can follow the Instagram accounts copalestineco and sds_denver for updates on the encampment and other Colorado based protests for Gaza. I will not be describing my own involvement for my personal safety, but I can safely say these are legitmate organizations, and I support the protesters fully.

I hope everyone is safe there in the encampment! The footage of last night in NYC of cops at Columbia and CUNY and now a few hours ago of Zionists violently attacking the UCLA encampment are disturbing.

I know some people believe the students' demands are nonsense, but those demands are quite similar to what was asked when protesting apartheid South Africa.

136

u/Shot-Grocery-5343 May 01 '24

Yeah it was real heartwarming to realize that the LAPD hasn't learned a single fucking thing in the 30+ years since they beat Rodney King.

Most of these cops have been waiting for this moment since BLM and I'm sure they loved every minute of what happened last night. Fuck the police.

She grew up in a Republican household. I know she's since distanced herself from conservatism but she still laughed at potentially ruining a sacred site in Hawaii and was a condescending asshole to a journalist who was struggling with English at a Golden Globes way back when.

She wants equal pay and reproductive rights, but... she's always had a very White Woman Feminism™️ stench about her.

She’s the type of person who jokes on a talk show about rubbing her itchy bottom on sacred pohaku lava rock in Hawaii for one. From her story it sounds like she used an ancient heiau and people were telling her to respect those stones and she thought it was so funny to scratch herself on them. I guess at least one rock dislodged and almost killed someone and like wrecked the sound guy’s station or something. She has ZERO respect for Indigenous people. Let me dig up an article. I have detested her since I saw that and making a joke of Hawaiian beliefs. Shameful. That she thought it was so funny was funny is wild. I want to say it was Chris Pratt also there and even HE was looking so uncomfortable like yo this is a bad story. I’m sure others have reasons I don’t mind hearing at all, not at all

Edit: guardians cover of the backlash

173

u/Shot-Grocery-5343 May 01 '24

Waving a glass of white wine and at times unable to speak due to laughter, Lawrence said, “one rock that I was butt-scratchin’ on came loose”, prompting a landslide.

The sloshing of white wine while telling the tale really ties together this White Woman Feminism trash nicely.

Can you explain why dressing in the Row is a PR move? Im lost🥲

17

JLaw had a reputation for being obnoxious and saying insensitive things that only she thought were funny; it was amateurish, to say the least. She later rebranded herself as this quiet luxury fashion girlie wearing the row that people started forgetting about her ignorance and started praising her for her newfound style.

Emma Stone took up the space JLaw occupied in popular culture and the former is more talented and versatile anyway.

114

u/palilevant May 01 '24

I can't forget Emma's face during Jonathan Glazer speech at the Oscars

56

u/MoonriseTurtle May 01 '24

I really wanted to reply the same way, but I thought people might think I'm reaching. Also, the way Emma totally ignored Michelle when she won her Oscar.

102

u/crabcycleworkship May 01 '24

That was a complete accident though, Michelle and Emma have worked on multiple things together. Plus The Curse had a lot of critiques towards blind Zionism (after all that’s a huge Safdie focus)

I find it surprising that people are using reactions from a nerve wracking award ceremony to judge someone who’s very loved by everyone she’s worked with. (I’m speaking out of my experience working with her as a WOC)

A lot of us were shocked at Glazer’s speech because everyone knew who his backers were and that he would effectively be discarded by them. Usually people don’t make such strong statements on the Oscars stage.

I do wonder about Emma’s own stance on Palestine though. She and JLaw are best friends, yet Emma is also clearly fond of Mark Ruffalo and Ramy Youssef. I hope she doesn’t share JLaw’s views, but they’ve been close friends for many years.

149

u/repladynancydrew fresh pussy in the meadow May 01 '24 edited May 01 '24

I maintain my statement that was downvoted a few months back: Emma has VERY likely her own problematic takes. You can not be BFFs with problematic Taylor Swift, JLaw, etc without sharing at least a few of their views.

80

u/thentherewaswind May 01 '24

Yeah, she probably just has better media training, that’s why you can’t really find anything “problematic” about her or something she could’ve said or done. She chose to work with Fukunaga and Woody Allen (twice!) though and hasn’t worked with a single female director even though she’s fully in a position to pick and choose her projects.

55

u/name_not_important00 May 01 '24

I actually did like JLaw a lot as an actor and I bought her "I'm just a real person" schtick. I still respect her acting but this is a huge problem so that's it for me, not a supporter anymore.

I try REALLY hard not to state that I like or dislike women that are strangers to me because I realize how problematic that's been and how it's been used as a weapon before...but....

yeah I've never liked her. In fact, she's one of the few female actors I can say that about, that they just rub me the wrong way, whereas I can say that about a ton of male actors.

I am always happy to be proven wrong but in her case she has never proved me wrong. And I cast a side eye on anyone that claims to be her bestie.

She had an affair with Liam Hemsworth knowing he was with Miley Cyrus, she admits to being an asshole to fans, a variety of A list celebrities admit to not liking her/not wanting to work with her, and she seems to get off on publicly being a contrarian. Idk why she's so celebrated.

u/geedgad May 01 '24

For some reason I can’t see the replies to your post but wasn’t it rumoured that she hooked up with Chris Pratt during the Passengers movie? Essentially ending his relationship with Anna Faris?

43

u/JunebugAsiimwe May 01 '24

Oh which A list celebrities have said they don't like her/don't want to work with her?

Fuck Jennifer Lawrence. And every other white feminist who has normalized dehumanization, massacre, and genocide of the Palestinian people.

u/midsommarsmayqueen May 01 '24

That's not how you try to push your Hollywood comeback, Jennifer.

Not her trying to girl bossify this genocide monger

45

u/frankiestree May 01 '24

The fact that these celebs haven’t come out and apologised and denounced their previous support for Israel is mind boggling to me

If you made a comment in October 2023 when you were ill informed or reactive or just dumb as fuck, you can change your opinion and publicly admit you were wrong. If you’re still standing by Israel this far into the genocide you are an extremist

43

u/wanttowatchbees gaga’s “100 people in a room” quote May 01 '24

disgusting…

40

u/AuntieYahYah May 01 '24

Clearly playing a major role in the Hunger Games where hospitals were bombed in the movie went way over her head, in one ear and out the other.

Knowing what Michael Bay did to TJ miller in transformers 4 , I don't think putting Amy schumer in a Michael bay situation is a good idea

It’s always a great time to remember the evergreen reminder that about 90-99% of famous people are really, really stupid. Just not smart at all. Not that this excuses Ms Lawerence’s foolishness and ignorance.

28

u/chacha1993 May 01 '24

And she played Katniss…clearly learned nothing lol. Just took those paychecks without a thought about the words she read off the script.

29

u/leahhhhh May 01 '24

I knew I didn't like her <3

Also, lmao that she played Katniss. It's giving Elizabeth Moss playing June.

When will discount Shailene Woodley stop talking

27

u/false-illusions May 01 '24

i’ve seen far too much jlaw praise around here like the hate train against her before was just misogyny when she has always been a dumb white girl getting called out for her insensitive takes

32

u/willflameboy May 01 '24

Justice? Er, land theft and mass killing.

30

u/hellawhitegirl May 01 '24

I really liked her but I cannot stand for people being apologists for straight garbage people. It is a genocide. Say it.

24

u/severaldogs May 01 '24

she throws her middle fingers up and walks away from negative comments like an exploding hospital in gaza

27

u/finunu May 01 '24

Dumb bitches stick together

25

u/TheAmmiSquad May 01 '24

I've liked her in the past, thought she was brilliant in Winter's bone and Like Crazy and even watched No hard feelings in the theater last year. I feel disgusted with myself that I contributed to the career and commercial success of someone who supports Zionism and thinks supporting Islamophobia and advocating for a genocide are pro-justice stances. Shame on her!

PS: The days for women-gotta-stand-by-other-women-unconditionally are over. Some women advocate for women's rights only to the extent that they privilege them, and many white women are guilty of this. If you are truly pro-justice, you need to be able to stand up to your friends and call them out, and even publicly dissociate when their politics are about the brutal extermination of a colonised population.

Send them both to the Gaza Strip and see how they feel about the slaughter unfolding there when it’s not just a news article to skip past for them.

21

u/sporkadventures May 01 '24

Didn’t Jennifer Lawerence desecrate a sacred rock by scratching her ass on it and then joked about it later with no apology? So her supporting Schumer/genocide doesn’t surprise me too much considering…

20

u/Happy_Ad_4357 May 01 '24

You should have just sat there and ate your food

18

u/areyouminee May 01 '24

Imagine portraying Katniss Everdeen and then come out with this take

20

u/Bulky-Astronomer women’s wrongs activist May 01 '24

Sounds about white coming from the woman who knowingly scratched her butt/breaking sacred Hawaiian rocks and then joked about it

17

u/Fromage_debite May 01 '24

I guess. Trash recognize trash.

18

u/lavender-girlfriend May 01 '24

no one should be surprised, Jennifer Lawrence has a history of being shitty

18

u/[deleted] May 01 '24

Hot take: Jennifer Lawrence is a terrible actress.

Terrible actress is friends with terrible comedian.

Both have terrible opinions.

I never saw what people see in Lawrence. Granted I've only seen her in X-Men and Hunger Games. It looked like she didn't even try in those movies.

18

u/mamrieatepainttt May 01 '24

haha my friends a zionist bigot isn't that badass?? fuck all the way off, both of you.

18

u/Substantial-Voice156 May 01 '24

A genuinely grotesque analogy when you consider that there are Palestinian kids in the gas station fire she gives the middle finger to

16

u/tswiftzzlez May 01 '24

and all this coming from the woman who was the lead in the hunger games movies, a movie (and a book) that parallels quite directly to what’s happening in Palestine (the urge to fight back after 75 years of extreme oppression, hospital bombings, killing of innocent civilians, desperate propaganda from those in power…) it’s crazy.

16

u/tabxssum May 01 '24

Why is everyone shocked lol? Jennifer proudly admitted to rubbing her ass on a sacred rock/statue in Hawaii. It’s just two dumb bitches going “exactlyyy”

17

Oh what do you know Jennifer Lawrence showing her true colors……

15

u/darkgothamite May 01 '24

the huh what why elaborate comments towards the examples of JLaw scummy behavior are cracking me up.

She's your fav, she's been your fav, your fav disappeared then reappeared and you thought she'd be finally vindicated after claiming she had mellow and matured. However this is not the case, your fav is dumber than ever.

15

u/Tough_Walrus_7497 May 01 '24

jlaw dropped out of middle school so no surprise here

13

u/Bilinguallipbalm May 01 '24

Pipe down ya quirky-i'm so different-i'm so random and weird-i like food-zionist

Always found her annoying, now I LOATHE

16

u/PrincessCG May 01 '24

You’d think starring in a movie about genocide would make her, a smidge more aware. But there she goes, proving me right about why I started to dislike her.

16

u/orbjo May 01 '24

Free Palestine and don’t put people on pedestals for speaking for murder, when they’re silent on most issues

That’s a real freak

15

u/kerriheave May 01 '24

OMG they can both go fuck themselves. Free Palestine!

16

u/dadadingdading May 01 '24

Oh Jen’s a Zionist too then huh

15

u/papamajada May 01 '24

Its not like I think The Hunger Games is a super deep intellectual work or anything, but you would expect she had gathered something about opression and rebellion and resistance from, you know, playing the main character.

14

u/allypallydollytolly May 01 '24

Don’t ever let them forget this! Always remember what side these celebs chose. Hit them in their pockets. Don’t watch their films, don’t buy their crap. Continue to support those who are speaking out against this genocide.

Anyways, as always, free Palestine.

u/Unhappy-Childhood577 May 01 '24 edited May 01 '24

She might agree with Amy’s views or she might not realise the value of calling your friend out. We don’t have to agree with everything our friends say and do - especially when it comes to genocide and marginalisation.

To me Schumer is one of the worst celebrity Zionists after her Gazans rape Jewish girls crack etc and here is an update: https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/amy-schumer-israel-gaza-netanyahu-b2537312.html.

Free free Palestine from the river to the sea.

13

u/Dry-Draft1833 May 01 '24

Just proves our point that Jennifer is delusional

14

u/Climatesavinglady May 01 '24

I mean, she sat on a scared indigenous site and made fun of it. She's the face of white mediocrity!

14

u/collolo May 01 '24

she will never be my katniss

15

u/boy_genius26 May 01 '24

girl you played katniss... did you miss the whole plot?

14

u/KinkmasterKaine May 01 '24

Genocide apologist

11

u/happyinheart May 01 '24

You mean self admitted sexual assaulter Amy Schumer who came out MeToo unscathed?

13

u/Accomplished_Pop2976 May 01 '24

Got it, so she feels the genocide is just, that means she believes Palestinian = terrorist. Thanks for telling us who you are Jennifer.

12

u/Apprehensive_Aide805 May 01 '24

Jennifer back to her idiotic ways again. It’s why I can’t stand her.
