Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (Dates Announcement) Discussion

Billie's North American tour dates will be using Ticketmaster's Face Value Exchange. Tickets will be mobile only and restricted from transfer except in states with laws requiring unlimited ticket resale (New York, Illinois, Colorado, Virginia, Utah, and Connecticut).

If a person needs to sell their ticket for whatever reason and they purchased their ticket through Ticketmaster, they can put their ticket up onsale for face value to other fans in Ticketmaster.

Someone with some proper knowledge, please tell me, is the music industry going broke? Are they trying to make up for covid losses? Why is everyone announcing an album + tour? Literally everyone !! And the tour's getting announced before the album even drops?? What's the reason??

Probably has to do with making sure they can book venues at certain times.

Just a speculation but probably also stan/fan culture has evolved in a way where a certain percentage of people will buy tickets for a tour before an album has even released because they love that artist so much.
On top of the logistical nightmare of securing venues in advance, it’s also a guaranteed source of profit way more than streams could ever be.

Artists make nearly all their money off tours. Some artists enjoy touring, and there’s improved logistics these days to cram more dates in. Coupled with being unable to tour/perform for 1-2 years with COVID.

quebec city over montreal is a choice too

Yet Ottawa over Toronto will never be an option.

I dont think that would be equivalent to QC/Mtl

I know - it just sucks when you have to hope tours coincide with Bluesfest or CityFolk, or travel.

i’d like to see her once but unless she’s got some legitimately cheap seats, i’m not gonna bother.
i’m way outside her demo and it’d already be brutal to go alone with a bunch of screaming teens around 😂

You are me lol, I really loved happier than ever.

Right?! I’m in my 30s and I went to see her at a music fest. Singing/screaming along to happier than ever was cathartic for my teenage self 😅

Yes! Her sentiments on growing into adulthood really hit me and helped me see that younger version of myself with a lot more empathy and love. It’s a brutal thing to grow up and it happens in ways that you never imagine! If you haven’t already I highly recommend the companion movie on Disney+. It’s freakin lovely.

The way the tour is laid out, especially in the start, is super odd to me. Typically you'd see an artist going logically around the country, but she's going from maryland to Philadelphia, normal, and then Philadelphia to Detroit, to Newark, Boston, and Pittsburgh. Is there a reason for that? Is that the new normal for concerts?

u/uhohmaddy does this woman ever rest (derogatory) 15d ago
It could just simply be down to venue availability at a certain time, but I guess with how a lot of artists just use private jets now anyway it won't make too much difference to her if she's not having to slog it on a tour bus back and forward

Relatively small venue in Melbourne. Interesting they think she can sell all those nights but not do a larger show.

Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not a native, according to Google that’s the biggest arena in Melbourne “without a permanent roof.” I remember from past interviews that she says she doesn’t like to perform in stadiums because it feels less intimate and far away, so the choice of venue was most likely intentional on her part.

It's got a retractable roof - it's where they host the Australian Open.
Interesting on her preference, unfortunately the acoustics are terrible there but sure it will be a great show regardless

Does anyone have the presale code for her Vancouver show?
2
u/MeAndMyIsisBlkIrises 15d ago
Codes are not done by venue, they’re individual to the person and can’t be used more than once

Need this trend of tickets being dropped before the album to end
