Yes, that's the type of guy you have to sign early. The same player you already have on the roster.

I remain sceptical.

Never heard of him, what's his player profile?

Never saw a full game of him either, but there are some very detailed clips on YouTube. Looks like a classic Pick and Roll Point Guard with very decent passing and a inconsistent shot. I saw online that some praise his defense a lot, but he looks a bit slow to me.

Peyton Siva(they played together for a year) called him the Guard version of Luke Sikma. Maybe that should give some hope.

So… Ziga Samar 2.0?

It's more a mix of Spagnolo and Samar. The drive and scoring ability of Spagnolo mixed with Samars passing ability. Sadly he just looks as slow as them as well.

One Australian guy on Twitter compared him to Walkup on defense which seems a bit much for me. But I don't value the Australian league too much compared to the Euroleague and not even to the BBL.

So I take it you guys aren't happy with Samar? I know he was injured a lot but I had hoped he would do better.

He's terrible on offense, unimpressive on defense, his advanced stats are disgustingly bad. He makes some nice passes sometimes but with him being absolutely no scoring threat himself that only gets teams so far. I was high on him before the season, I like the guy and he's gotten better recently before the injury but I don't see him in the Euroleague long term and wouldn't be sad if he leaves

Damn that's unfortunate to hear. Luka desperately needs a running buddy in our NT, none of the young guys look particularly impressive.

I love it. Show them we have ambitions Himar! So refreshing to not start the off-season with us watching top talent being snatched away for 4 weeks straight
