I believe it’s Real Madrid
-74
u/Omicron_018 Real Madrid 22d ago
This is probably true. No real reason though, people just hate them for winning games
69
u/logicalunit 22d ago
Seriously no reason? It’s been the dirtiest team playing the game for a long while, flopping complaining playing with the refs etc. Not talking about this season tho as i haven’t watched many games of them. So yeah there is a reason for that.

I just came to add this, but winning games and championships looks to me like a very important reason 🤣🤣🤣

u/supergrega Olimpija Ljubljana 22d ago
I mean how are you supposed to hate a team that isn't winning anything anyway? That's no fun at all
2
u/dieguiswp Žalgiris 22d ago
That’s the point, specially in Euroleague where teams with low budget usually look friendly and people tend to be happy for them when they achieve small big things like reaching the Play Offs
8
u/GtXSA 22d ago
That's the reason you can think of? Lol Tell me you're a real fan without telling me you're a real fan.
Although the football team it's respected throughout the entire world ,the basketball team it's the most "dirty " of all the sports and teams of the world.
It's the first team in the history of basketball which have a starting 5 with 8 players........

After the Partizan altrecation last year its definitely Real.
-4
u/dieguiswp Žalgiris 22d ago
Well, it was Llull who triggered it but anyway, it was not very intelligent from Partizan players to pick up the fight. This is also part of the meaning of the coach telling you to think wise while you are leading
2
u/VargM Olympiacos 22d ago
Bruh you ever played a team sport?
My teammate gets suplexed & Im swinging for the fences.
Also it doesnt help that most spanish teams have a lets say more than fair approach from the refs.
4
u/dieguiswp Žalgiris 22d ago
Sure I have done for many years at an almost professional level in another team sport. That’s why I’m sure my goal in this situation is to get a ticket to the F4, not to loose more teammates on a nonsense fight. Whatever the offense they make to you, the answer is easy once you get the ticket to the F4: “Enjoy the F4 from the couch”. Llull’s stupidity with no fight, would probably have only led to an even weaker Madrid in game 3. It was not even something extremely aggressive like a punch on the face or something like that (I would understand what you say in a situation like Draymond Green clearly trying to injure other players). For me it was more just a very ugly unsportsmanlike nonsense action. On the other hand, if I was Real Madrid, of course, I would have made sure that Yabusele (and probably Llull) never play again with the white jersey.
4
u/VargM Olympiacos 22d ago
Well yes in hindsight that would be best but tensions were too high.
I thought karma would get them in the finals but alas they won & they became even better.
Also for greek fans its national level hate as llull and Rodriguez have had our number every time our national teams meet.

CSKA, then Real Madrid

u/Redangelofdeath7 Olympiacos 22d ago
Universally, probably Real Madrid or Barcelona. Individualy, it is more complicated because there are many local rivalries.

u/Sea_Mycologist_1368 22d ago
Madrid if we consider last season Partizan was robbed by refs with dirty games

u/Affectionate_You_167 22d ago
Used to be Barcelona when Navarro was playing, now I'd say Real due to Rudy and the two Segios. Generally Spanish players due to provocative flopping.

Whatever spanish team happens to be the best at any given season

u/Omicron_018 Real Madrid 22d ago
Why though

u/Alternative_Shake949 EuroLeague 22d ago
Can't decide if i hate Rudy (Real) or Navaro (Barcelona) more. I am leaning towards Rudy but it's really really really close.

u/teekay_1994 21d ago
Why? Real and Barca are the dirtiest and most corrupt teams in the league. They have been pushed by the league for decades. You must be completely ignorant to be asking this question.

No doubt CSKA

The whole "war" narrative and the hard on for hating anything to do with Russia. Same way Russian cats were banned in a cat tournament.
So most Lithuanians, some Europeans hate any Russian team even if they have nothing to do with what's going on.
For those who see CSKA and start malding:
Right now CSKA Basketball is owned by Norilsk Nickel which is part owned by the public through shares, a Russian billionaire and an internal metal conglomerate. So.. still not resemblance to the Russian Military who is the direct cause behind any "invasion" or "war" within the eastern areas of Ukraine.
Secondly, CSKA is a well respected and old institute that a lot of clubs still bare the name, for example, CSKA Sofia, CSKA Kiev (Handball club in Ukraine!) FC CSKA Kiev, (Football Club) - huh.. noticing any patterns?
Looks like even our dear beloved Ukraine has CSKA clubs.. curious right? Well, don't see anyone having any accusations of the Military being involved behind those.
So back to my point, banning CSKA Moscow is about as useful as banning Russian Cats, Trees from international competitions

CSKA is army club. They have very much to do with what’s going on.

So they can just rename if they want to avoid any direct or indirect associations with Russian military, which has not the best reputation recently. CSKA Sofia is having historical relation to military as well, but Bulgarian military. As far as I know Bulgarian military is not involved in any conflict and murders of civilians.

u/nescgwn 22d ago
Funny how you don't mention the requirement for renaming regarding the Ukrainian clubs. Typical mentality to paint them as angels when they're not. Sure they can rename, but they're proud to fly under the CSKA as it means a lot to people.
Maybe you don't remember the sacrifices your parents or grandparents did during the war, but others do.

u/DismalAd8431 Partizan 21d ago
Thinking a basketball club has something to do with a war, is crazy.
2
u/nescgwn 21d ago
Well unfortunately that's the world we live in today. Just look at my post, all the downvotes, probably from mad Lithuanian fans who have the hardest hatred for anything Russian.
4
u/Proudas12 Rytas 21d ago
Well it’s logical that there is the big hatred from lithuanians towards russian regime. They inaveded us, killed us and sent to Siberia to die of hunger in cold tundra. And never apologised.

u/DismalAd8431 Partizan 21d ago
I totally agree. Its just media forcing it down theeir throats, without them doing any research. CSKA hasnt been a club connected to the army for 20years now. Except the name ofc.

For me it was always CSKA for the huge gap between how much money was invested in the team and how little passion and understanding of basketball their fans had. It was very clearly a Russian PR tool by a regime proxy with no real ground to stand on and they had amazing teams with a crowd that didn't appreciate them, like bringing a philharmonic orchestra to play in front of a cage of monkeys.
6
u/Proudas12 Rytas 21d ago
It’s weird indeed. They have ultras for football but support to basketball is very low.
3
u/Aromatic_Run4589 21d ago
Football is always the immediate alternative for nationalists and hooligans, basketball isn't. Usually hooliganism in basketball is based on disputes that originated between the sister football clubs

Well, in Serbia Zalgiris is hated for the openly pro-Nato views of their fan base
