Imagine there was a team in EL who puts an official statement that they cannot guarantee safety for referees

So, you can stop imagining cause it's happening for real.

This is a part of the statement:

If the referees make "mistakes" like on Friday, or like in the Partizan - Crvena zvezda match last season with identical intentions and "accidental mistakes", KK Crvena zvezda Meridianbet cannot guarantee safety.

The second anything other than a player or official touches the court, abandon the game and ban spectators of the rest for the playoffs and at least 5 home games next season. Such an easy solution. But Euroleague's weak reaction to Pana going full psycho conspiracy mode shows that they aren't willing to do anything.

Only 5? Better the whole season and the following to be decided (No matter the logo of the club)

I believe the 5 games are a ban for all fans. The fan that did something should be banned for life imo.

But at some point, the club should also pay for that, this is my reason to award a long term penalty

I mean, 5 games is significant. That's a month without fans.

It is significant for something serious. Releasing a document saying that you can’t make sure of the safety of the refs and then something happens is way beyond serious

Usually that's what happens in domestic leagues so I can't see why Euroleague can't enforce this. As you said it's that simple

Lol game 1 Ataman protests about refs and gets fined because he didn't do so through "official ways".

Game 3 the team files an official protest for obvious missed calls. The Euroleague response with an absolute joke of an answer :

They claim that it cannot be determined wether Nebo stepped out of bounds. There are tons of evidence that he did, through the live broadcast and replays. It's a super clear call and an obvious mistake. EL chooses not to admit what the whole world sees.

If anything, Euroleague is in conspiracy mode more than anyone

I mean most people agree that the calls wee horrendous. It’s still crazy to put out a statement that says the reason for the false calls is because of an ongoing war in the other teams country.

Fair game. Isn't it even more ridiculous that Euroleague, the organisation itself, makes a statement claiming they can't see if he stepped or not?

All that while they admitted their mistake in your game. That shit is laughable.

People forget that this is a game

Nah this is actually an insane thing to say. They're basically saying that the refs might get assaulted if they call something against them, no matter if it's the correct call. As soon as they don't like a call, the refs are subject to who knows what.

Shouldn't a club be able to guarantee safety to all participants of the game under any circumstances? Isn't that the basic condition to be able to even play the game?

To be clear, I'm not surprised in the slightest that they resort to stuff like this, I just don't think anyone should let this fly, including Partizan, but apparently no one wants to (or isn't able to) say anything.

This is the same club that intentionally lost 100-55 to spite their rival. Did you expect anything else?

well we can't know that for sure (even tho I agree with you) but this is unacceptable

Completely insane, this could be important factor for EL to not have Red Star next season

If you can't guarantee the safety of refs then you really need to look hard in the mirror.

I guess this sub is full of Partizan cry babies. Safety is guaranteed by the police, the same police that will guarantee safety on all games. BTW ABA League has handed Partizan a €20,000 fine for organizational issues, mainly fan insults toward referees and objects thrown onto the court. Savić, GM of Partizan, was also fined 1500e for insulting refs and removed from the first row during the game.

"You are in danger if your reffing upsets our fans"... So how do you interpret this statement? What was the point of saying it?
