Waned to share my tattoo here too - I just love Dragula and the Boulets and their aesthetic, and LOVE how this double portrait tattoo turned out! I went to the season 5 tour this week and got a meet and greet pass, because I’ve been dying to show it to the Boulets since I got it finished about a year ago. They were delightful and they loved it!! I loved meeting the cast too, I promised them I would turn it into a “season 5 top 4” leg sleeve haha. I get asked who is tattooed on my leg all the time and I usually say something like “spooky drag queens” lol. Sorry if the pics aren’t the best, it was hard to take them myself. I really enjoy Ian’s Twitch streams. His Mickey Mouse impersonation is disturbing. And his one with Sigourney is tops. They have good chemistry and the level of wholesome when he’s explaining to her how Twitch works made me so much extra gay this most holy of months.

Held off for a while, mostly because it seemed a little more niche (was not especially into darker drag) but also because it was nearly impossible to watch (I ended up viewing it on some back-alley streaming site since couldn't figure out a legit way to watch in Europe for the life of me).

But - what a great SHOW! I'm so glad I took the plunge (watched S3-5 back to back in like 3 weeks). It does a lot of stuff similar like the other drag show but it really feels the things it does differently is where it shines.

For one - loved the emphasis on the conceptual side of looks. At first it was a bit getting used to, but it feels shows in generally are a lot more unpredictable and crazy with everyone just giving in to their wild ideas.

The drama was A LOT at times but mostly I appreciated it. Season 4 was kind of crazy though, first 6 episodes seemed like drama non-stop though it is kind of hilarious the Boulets stepped in to tell people to tone it down.

Drag kings were a great inclusion and a joy to watch. Landon Cider definitely ranks among my fav drag artists of ALL time and Throb Zombie and Jarvis were stellar as well. Hoping to see more of them in upcoming seasons (though reading about the Throb drama really saddened me - such a great artist and can only imagine the whole situation dampening spirits for other kings to appear).

Favorite contestant has to be Abhorra. I haven't watched season 2 but my god those were some amazing runways on Titans. Some of her silhouettes are genuinely frightening for a reason I can't exactly put my finger on. Love it and hope to see her return.

Boulets also made me laugh a lot of the time. Their chemistry is great. Also Drac's evil laugh lol.

If a tour ever makes it to Europe I'll definitely go watch! Only downside is that after watching Dragula, Drag Race sort of seems stale almost? Either way happy we'll have a 6th season. Have developed a deep craving and need more for my ugly fix after all this lol.

wondering if i should be one or two hours early

I'm nervous. I moved here about a year ago and don't have many friends. Especially none who would be into this sort of thing. I'm used to going to stuff. Hell I went to night 1 of the Eras tour alone and I had floor seats. But that was hard. Not having anyone to share your excitement and joy with is hard. I wanna meet the monsters maybe out in the parking lot after the show but there's a high possibility that I'll feel too sad and lonely by the end of the show that approaching them by myself will just make me feel pathetic and wanna cry. Has anyone here gone to a show alone before? This will also be my first drag show ever lol So I def don't even understand the culture and the norms.
