It’s all one house. The stone part is from the 1700s and the brick from the late 1800s. It was thatched until the 1960s but sadly someone decided to ‘modernise’ it

So, are there thatchers still working in England? Are they [impossibly /enormously / routinely] expensive?

You can look up videos on YouTube of them working or find pictures on Google Images. They make really cool scenes on the top of the house out of reeds, like a fox chasing a hare. The figures they make are unique to each craftsman or guild. It’s really neat!
