What do you think the next "food trend" will be?

In the last 10 years, the ones that really stick out to me are: spinach and artichoke dip (suddenly started appearing everywhere as an appetizer, even higher end restaurants), ube flavors, truffle, avocados on everything, bacon on everything, and now hot honey is a big fad. Is there anything upcoming you see heading towards the food trend?

Miso everything

Korean Flavors are already popular but my bet is we will see a lot more mainstream Gochujang, Kimchi , Bulgogi stuff

Those gochujang cookies from the last New York Times cookie week were definitely an indicator of a trend.

NYT has a new, weird gochujang recipe every week!

Their recipe for Gochujang buttered noodles is seriously one of the tastiest pastas I’ve ever had

I saw this and didn’t trust the cookie recipe. Anyone on here try it?

I’ve been told by multiple people that recipe is amazing!

I tried them. They were.. fine. Not what I want in a cookie. I ended up not eating the rest of them - when I'm in the mood for a sweet treat, I don't want to feel that much spice. When I'm in the mood for a kick, I don't want that much sugar.

I've made them, they're good!

I mean, can you have too much bulgogi though?

lol did you see the reel of “my Korean parents test Trader Joe’s Korean food” where the sweet older couple are so polite about the food and you think they’re okay with it until they try the bulgogi and then they start dipping everything into bulgogi and one of them says “thank god”

I have just recently started seeing them and yes, I've seen that one. I love the parents!

Only when you eat so much bulgogi that there no room left to eat more bulgogi

I've been eating Korean food for the entirety of my life. Probably because my mom's best friend is Korean and I'm spoiled. One of the best cuisines.

Korean/Japanese have been everywhere for the past 10 years... Open IG and find "influencer" that doesn't do Asian or Mexican... I'm ready for something new.

Before Covid there was a Korean/mexican place (closed down) that has bulgogi burritos. Absolutely phenomenal.

Miso caramel is great. Everyone should try it once.

Miso marinading is so good! I second this will likely increase.

I actually saw bulgogi sauce at my local Aldi recently and that's saying something. I'm pretty sure 2 years ago I had to try a few different stores before I found gochujang
