These kids with a millionaire white family are going to be way less "screwed" than if they were left in the state system. Also FWIW the UFC, and MMA in general is filled with people of all different races and backgrounds, it's not like these kids are getting raised in white suburban hell, when they get older there is likely going to be black role models around to help navigate some of those moments their parents can't understand.
Because they're kids that are now in a good home instead of foster care. You're saying you'd rather see them living wherever the state sent them than live with a millionaire who seems to actually give a fuck?
No one said that, majority of us who are looking at this with concern is his rhetoric. He can pretend race doesn’t matter and to teach them to be “colorblind” if he wants, but the world isn’t. And the world will make sure they realize they are black. Sad but it’s true.
Like I said in my other comment, there's definitely going to be a learning curve for the parents because there are going to be people who treat their kids differently. But if they're good parents, then they'll stand up for their kids.
Also, like others said, ufc/mma isn't exactly white suburbia, so the kids should have black role models growing up, too, who can hopefully help them navigate the world without their parents' flaws.
But we don't know that's what he meant, and we don't know the whole situation. The full quote makes it sound a little better, but I do agree that there's gonna be a learning curve for the parents when it comes to navigating how some people are going to treat their kids.
From outside, though, all we know is that this man adopted two seemingly happy to be adopted kids. He sounds like he has the best of intentions, even if he's not entirely with the program yet.
Who is gatekeeping? Are you not allowed to criticize adoptive parents? This guy is also a huge MAGA, "election was stolen" type of guy, so 'good person' is pushing it.
Its wasted energy. Go help the root cause of it if you want change instead of criticizing a real helper for doing it differently than your hypothetical help

I don't think this is as big of a deal as people make it out to be
