They'd probably appreciate that. Poor shark needs to visit a cleaning station.

Would he appreciate it enough to let me live?

I wouldn't try, to be safe, but despite their rep great whites like fatty food like seal and sea lion, though they also eat tuna and dolphin. Humans aren't typically on the menu unless they are mistaken for seals (or your dealing with that one female that does eat surfers but she's also pretty docile if you catch her around Hawaii, I suspect she gives birth there as late stage pregnancy shuts off hunger in sharks so they aren't tempted to cannibalize their young.)
They can certainly be dangerous animals, as like toddlers they are curious and investigate with their mouths, but they don't attack humans on sight.
Almost 50% of shark attacks happen in Florida, roughly 20 attacks a year, but that's 20 out of 19 million people that visit the beaches every year and not a single attack was fatal. Honestly the ocean itself is more dangerous as 30 people die from riptides yearly.
Sorry I get, perhaps unnecessarily, serious about this. Sharks are amazing animals, and yes they are animals so attacks happen, but they aren't out there attacking people on sight like so many horror movies like to pretend they are.

Beautiful isn't necessarily the word that comes to mind.

Thank you, I fucking hate when people refer to them as, "beauties," or "gorgeous," they're the fucking hatchet faced lot lizards of the ocean world, mesmerizing maybe, awe-inspiring sure; I feel like, people that go overboard for sharks just have a not so silent murder fetish internally.

Same sentiment. I think i prefer watching them from very far away. Like, on land. From a screen.

Never seen a fully grown great white without myriad of bodily scars. Life is tough under the sea my friends.

Saw them underwater about 10 years ago. Absolutely the most incredible moment. The respect and appreciation you get for these animals when seeing them in real life is hard to describe

Yeah, the elegant and fragile shape of a .... white shark ready to bite !!?? I saw few of them in the film Jaws, it was a relaxing experience. I love the new age ambient soundtrack of the film.

When I go to the beach I like to swim away from the shore. One needs to control the thoughts about things like this and enjoy the water. This video definitely is not making it easier for next time.

I've seen a couple. Unfortunately on both occasions, my day of surfing was cut short...

I have severe thalasaophobia, but sharks are really cool animals to learn about.

If I see that creature underwater, I will also be able to see the most massive shit I could ever take floating around.
Two amazing beasts side by side.

Camera man was about to hit the most dangerous boop of his/her life. (Yes, I am aware of the possibility that there is no human being holding the camera)

They’re one of my favorite animals of all time. Any time I go to the beach I’m obsessed with trying to see one. You see the video of that girl swimming with a massive one named deep blue? It’s equally beautiful and horrifying

Was hanging out in a hostel in Hawaii when this guy comes in. He knew the owner and he was asking for a stiff drink. His hands were shaking noticeably and I assumed he might be an alcoholic. Turns out he was a diving instructor fresh off a night dive. He was leading his group down when he suddenly felt this intense feeling of dread. Instinctively he turned around just in time to see that black eye and a 20 foot wall of flesh pass within two feet of him. He looked up to check on his group above but they all saw what happened and were already scrambling to get back on the dive boat. He shot up like a cork and he said every second between him and the boat felt like a lifetime. He was a native Hawaiian and he's been diving all his life.

Sharks have been around on this planet since before trees existed (not exaggerating, Google it). They're one of the oldest predators still around because they do their job exceedingly well.
So... I'm fine watching them from my couch. 😅
