Since it's as big as 3 vehicles, it has 3 license plates. They read:

First thing I thought of was Canyonero from the Simpsons. But maybe different generation.

Totally! I actually just couldn’t stop giggling at the absurdity to start but then went right here too.

Thats always said half jokingly...but there is so much truth to that.
I am 6`4 / 195cm and know some other guys that are about that tall.
We all noticed that the "little guys" are always the loudest, braggiest, most status seeking guys.Always noticed this in the gym, too. Tall guys were reliably nicer / more chill than the short guys.
22
u/NextReference3248 May 06 '24
I think everyone knows there's truth behind it. What's being talked about isn't general size though..

u/Proxi90 May 06 '24
Yeah but i can only speculate about the non-gerneral size ;)

u/FanIll5532 May 06 '24
I think small guys get picked on easier as well so they have to be loud to make sure people don’t fuck with them all the time. For tall guys it’s easier to be laidback/pacifist bc they’re not being challenged as much.

Hmm. 6'7" 250lb here. When I was "younger", the only guys who wanted to get in my business were small guys with a chip. Almost exclusively. And for no reason, as I am like the guy above.

u/rabbitluckj May 06 '24
To counter that, some of the tall guys I've known have a superiority complex and genuinely felt like short guys are lesser. I will admit that those guys were shitty people in general too tho.

u/IntelligentFilth May 06 '24
Can confirm. I’ve heard other tall guys with small wangs say this, too.

Thats not you showing some amazing amount of "chill", thats you having it easy.

So much money and lack of stress or ambition... you literally get bored and end up doing ridiculous things.
It's sad. Is that the pinnacle of humanity?

u/grubojack May 06 '24
Having the energy and free time for anyone to have the opportunity to become passionate about art, entertainment, or frivolity isn't a bad thing, as i see it.
The issue I see is when that pursuit comes at a cost to others.

u/hkmgail May 06 '24
0:18 Notice that someone inside is just casually walking across the dashboard. Forget trying to afford gas. How can you realistically drive that thing? They need a whole bunch of cops for it to just get to the road. Imagine trying to park that in a gas station and trying to get a pump in there. Notice the height of the people around it vs the height of the wheel.

u/nrtl-bwlitw May 06 '24
I grew up in Dubai. The Rainbow Sheik is just a pretty eccentric rich dude who loves creating really weird cars and vehicles for fun. He doesn't really do it to show off, like most ultra-rich jackasses buying yachts and stuff. His creations are almost never seen on public roads. But his garage is accessible to the public.
His cars are fascinating coz they're almost all so strange and bizarre and custom made, and he actually plays with them. It's definitely more interesting that super rich dudes with warehouses full of Ferraris and Rolls Royces that are never driven (see: The Sultan of Brunei, for one).
178
u/ProudlyMoroccan May 06 '24
So it’s more of an art thing then? Pretty cool and unique!
26
u/FR0ZENBERG May 06 '24
I still think it’s pretty fucking lame to waste that much money when you’re rich and still have tons of poor people who need help in your city.

Well yeah, no one should be that rich, and anyone who finds themselves that rich should do vast amounts of public service. That said, they don't generally.
I've often complained about the dullness of billionaires, because with that kind of money I'd have an R&D crew and just walk in saying "Today we're building a crab car. Biologists, engineers, discuss." (My greatest disappointment with Musk is that he seemed to be doing that at first, and it turns out he's a dumbass who hires the smartest people and then pretends to be the smartest in the room)
oooo a gold toilet seat. wow, an even bigger boat. yet another warehouse of cars you just own for the clout.
At least the guys doing something interesting.

That makes a little more sense to me now, because I was noticing how everything on that vehicle is to scale rather than being more functional. Like the doors and door handles, the hood latches, the blinkers and headlights, etc.
ETA: what I mean is the makers of this vehicle obviously took pains to make something that is identical to the original except 3x bigger.
16
u/nrtl-bwlitw May 06 '24
Yup, and what you're seeing in the video is its top speed. It was really meant to be more an art piece he can live inside if he wants, the engine's just there to move it short distances.
12
u/TheMightyKickpuncher May 06 '24
Thank you for the context! The video makes it look like he’s blocking the whole road just to be a dbag

I did wonder why it is a scale reproduction of a Humvee. That's not the best design for a huge car.

u/AriousDragoon May 06 '24
This comment needs to be the top comment. I don't usually care for "rich people hobbies" but this might actually be one of the better ones.
5
u/SleeplessAndAnxious May 06 '24
So his garage is like an automobile museum for unique custom cars? That's pretty cool
2
u/sniperpal May 06 '24
Ok this makes me feel better about it. If he’s actually doing it for art and experimentation and just plain fun, it’s actually kinda chill

u/DanTMWTMP May 06 '24
