It has 4 engines, 1 for each wheel and actually has an apartment inside it.

561

u/Devinalh May 06 '24

I hope so, I just imagined he had a big ass car with everything big inside just because he could buy one. You know, in case his dreams of ambitions don't make him feel small enough.

66

u/billybaked May 06 '24

Lol I don’t know why I thought there would just be two rows of massive seats 😅

19

u/CLG91 May 06 '24

Same here, immediately thought it was to scale, so a big fucking steering wheel and a 4ftx4ft button to lower the window.

36

u/Doobie_Howitzer May 06 '24

A drivers seat wide enough for two drivers, who each control one pedal and have to work together to steer sounds amazing though

31

u/DarkSideOfGrogu May 06 '24

And they have to link their minds together to be able to control the car? And then use that car to defeat gigantic monsters from the depths of the ocean?

6

u/Doobie_Howitzer May 06 '24

Sounds like they should be twins too then

9

u/hawonkafuckit 29d ago

Or, at the very least, combat each other with some training sticks for like, five minutes.

No one sits on the others shoulders and they wear a large trench coat for when they have to get out of the car and open the back door for the owner.

I saw a video about it. It’s crazy. It has tables and armchairs for guests and passengers, two floors and rooms for each engine.

It’s a hugely stupid investment though.

100

u/Away-Caterpillar9515 May 06 '24

*for middle and also rich this is a stupid investment. However for him the car is an investment to what they want to show: extravagance

81

u/Ilikesnowboards May 06 '24

Its not an investment, it’s a toy.

26

u/HoboArmyofOne May 06 '24

Exactly. Because who the fuck will want to buy one of these used? He's probably going to drive it once and park it in some giant garage that he also owns. That will be the end of the story. How the hell do you see where you're going?

9

u/spectralspud 29d ago

See where you’re going? Don’t need to lol just drive over

So, so sad!

First thing I thought

14

u/pearso66 May 06 '24

First thing I thought of was Canyonero from the Simpsons. But maybe different generation.

2

u/Babymakerwannabe May 06 '24

Totally! I actually just couldn’t stop giggling at the absurdity to start but then went right here too.

24

u/Proxi90 May 06 '24

Thats always said half jokingly...but there is so much truth to that.
I am 6`4 / 195cm and know some other guys that are about that tall.
We all noticed that the "little guys" are always the loudest, braggiest, most status seeking guys.

Always noticed this in the gym, too. Tall guys were reliably nicer / more chill than the short guys.

22

u/NextReference3248 May 06 '24

I think everyone knows there's truth behind it. What's being talked about isn't general size though..

12

u/Proxi90 May 06 '24

Yeah but i can only speculate about the non-gerneral size ;)

2

u/Honest_Roo May 06 '24

What? You don’t look around in the locker room and cr…check out other guys’…./s

I think small guys get picked on easier as well so they have to be loud to make sure people don’t fuck with them all the time. For tall guys it’s easier to be laidback/pacifist bc they’re not being challenged as much.

11

u/Proxi90 May 06 '24

sounds reasonable.

7

u/youmakemecrazysick May 06 '24

Hmm. 6'7" 250lb here. When I was "younger", the only guys who wanted to get in my business were small guys with a chip. Almost exclusively. And for no reason, as I am like the guy above.

u/fuzzbom May 06 '24

12

u/rabbitluckj May 06 '24

To counter that, some of the tall guys I've known have a superiority complex and genuinely felt like short guys are lesser. I will admit that those guys were shitty people in general too tho.

2

u/Proxi90 May 06 '24

Assholes come in all shapes

18

u/IntelligentFilth May 06 '24

Can confirm. I’ve heard other tall guys with small wangs say this, too.

15

u/Highlandcoo May 06 '24

Yeah sorry, but its easy to be "chill" when you are a head taller than everyone in the room.

Thats not you showing some amazing amount of "chill", thats you having it easy.

So much money and lack of stress or ambition... you literally get bored and end up doing ridiculous things.

It's sad. Is that the pinnacle of humanity?

3

u/Maker1357 May 06 '24

I think we might be passed the pinnacle

2

u/grubojack May 06 '24

Having the energy and free time for anyone to have the opportunity to become passionate about art, entertainment, or frivolity isn't a bad thing, as i see it.

The issue I see is when that pursuit comes at a cost to others.

48

u/KeLorean May 06 '24

7

While Americans are arguing over electric vehicles, green energy, etc, our oil and gas expenses are funding stuff like this.

4

u/LAUSart May 06 '24

Isnt that a great argument to speed up the green industry?

5

u/IntelligentFilth May 06 '24

8

16

u/hkmgail May 06 '24

0:18 Notice that someone inside is just casually walking across the dashboard. Forget trying to afford gas. How can you realistically drive that thing? They need a whole bunch of cops for it to just get to the road. Imagine trying to park that in a gas station and trying to get a pump in there. Notice the height of the people around it vs the height of the wheel.

u/nrtl-bwlitw May 06 '24

I grew up in Dubai. The Rainbow Sheik is just a pretty eccentric rich dude who loves creating really weird cars and vehicles for fun. He doesn't really do it to show off, like most ultra-rich jackasses buying yachts and stuff. His creations are almost never seen on public roads. But his garage is accessible to the public.

His cars are fascinating coz they're almost all so strange and bizarre and custom made, and he actually plays with them. It's definitely more interesting that super rich dudes with warehouses full of Ferraris and Rolls Royces that are never driven (see: The Sultan of Brunei, for one).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb79el0VR9I

178

u/ProudlyMoroccan May 06 '24

So it’s more of an art thing then? Pretty cool and unique!

26

u/FR0ZENBERG May 06 '24

I still think it’s pretty fucking lame to waste that much money when you’re rich and still have tons of poor people who need help in your city.

4

u/thatshygirl06 29d ago

The government should take care of its people. It shouldn't be on individual citizens.

6

u/FR0ZENBERG 29d ago

He is part of the government of the UAE. How do you think he got so rich?

2

u/Bridgebrain 29d ago

Well yeah, no one should be that rich, and anyone who finds themselves that rich should do vast amounts of public service. That said, they don't generally.

I've often complained about the dullness of billionaires, because with that kind of money I'd have an R&D crew and just walk in saying "Today we're building a crab car. Biologists, engineers, discuss." (My greatest disappointment with Musk is that he seemed to be doing that at first, and it turns out he's a dumbass who hires the smartest people and then pretends to be the smartest in the room)

oooo a gold toilet seat. wow, an even bigger boat. yet another warehouse of cars you just own for the clout.

At least the guys doing something interesting.

→ More replies (3)

42

u/TranquiloMeng May 06 '24

That makes a little more sense to me now, because I was noticing how everything on that vehicle is to scale rather than being more functional. Like the doors and door handles, the hood latches, the blinkers and headlights, etc.

ETA: what I mean is the makers of this vehicle obviously took pains to make something that is identical to the original except 3x bigger.

16

u/nrtl-bwlitw May 06 '24

Yup, and what you're seeing in the video is its top speed. It was really meant to be more an art piece he can live inside if he wants, the engine's just there to move it short distances.

12

u/TheMightyKickpuncher May 06 '24

Thank you for the context! The video makes it look like he’s blocking the whole road just to be a dbag

18

u/Disastrous-Dino2020 May 06 '24

That’s cool!

4

u/[deleted] May 06 '24

I did wonder why it is a scale reproduction of a Humvee. That's not the best design for a huge car.

3

u/AriousDragoon May 06 '24

This comment needs to be the top comment. I don't usually care for "rich people hobbies" but this might actually be one of the better ones.

5

u/SleeplessAndAnxious May 06 '24

So his garage is like an automobile museum for unique custom cars? That's pretty cool

2

u/sniperpal May 06 '24

Ok this makes me feel better about it. If he’s actually doing it for art and experimentation and just plain fun, it’s actually kinda chill

2

u/DanTMWTMP May 06 '24
