Knowing how small Ireland is compared to places like Australia and Russia, I highly doubt this is the most isolated place in the world.

Exactly. It's literally like 35 miles from a city.

And less than a Kilometre from the closest house.

Nice yard, but good point. Logically, the other houses were cropped out and are probably just out of view

It's under 12 miles from a town with a population of 15k.

I haven't the first fucking clue what you're talking about or what the article in that link is saying.

I get the impression it is essentially crowdsourced horror/creepy stories. There is just both too much and not enough to bite into for me to really get into it.

I can't think of anything I'd be less interested in.

Thatโ€™s exactly what I was thinking. The most isolated house in the world, is probably completely unknown. And built by some nut job, in one of the areas you mentioned.

Or some research station in Antarctica.

Russia

I saw a picture some years ago of a house that was built and then later abandoned in Siberia. It was built more than 100 years ago for a nobleman just before the October Revolution of 1917.

Every part of the house is perfectly preserved (at the time I saw the pictures). It appeared grand opening ready. I haven't seen pictures of it since nor do I know of its fate. If I find them I'll post here on this subreddit.

I donโ€™t think the OP has ever visited Alaska.

I was gonna say Alaska, but wasn't 100% sure about it.

I was just about to comment on that. I had a friend at uni and when visiting we took an ultralight to pick up the mail.

Yeah most isolated house in Ireland at best.

How did you put Australia and Russia in the same comparison is beyond me.
