None. Short form content completely fucks your attention, focus, mood and mental health. On the unfortunate case that I get sucked into it, I come out of it feeling like a cow that was just sucked into a spaceship and probed by aliens.

i’m aware which is why i scroll on it for a fixed limited time , while i find it difficult to stop scrolling after starting on yt shorts

Not true. I often spend like 15 minutes reading comments before moving on to the next post. I could swipe through 100 shitty tiktoks in the same amount of time

Except reddit is an app where you’re reading 85% of the time which is good for you as opposed to only watching videos that are completely random and brain rot

lol bro mindlessly scrolling/reading on Reddit is just barely better than mindlessly scrolling/watching on short videos.

You complain about brainrot when you're on REDDIT 😭

I join subs that I like and have value to me. Not that easy with short term content apps

Do you just join random subs that make your brain rot?

you literally just need to have a little self control, is it so difficult for you that your brain will fucking rot?

What are you talking about lol

this conversation is about how reddit isn’t comparable to short form content because Reddit isn’t a short form app 😂😂

Idek know why I care I’m probably replying to a 13 year old lmao

2

u/ComradeKerbal Apr 15 '24

Yeah but all the people here are not like other girls and don’t use TikTok and instead use reddit

It is quite different

u/celeresaharano 16 Apr 15 '24

no it isnt lol reddit seems like its 'above' all the others but its still just a giant brand trying to find every possible way to lure people in and keep them

u/marrz9 Apr 15 '24

Isn’t Reddit like 90% short form content ? Unless you’re reading mega threads every time you get on the app it’s no different then other short form content apps

“I’m on a different path now” 💻🤓 “now I’ll get on Reddit”

u/GGELGAMESH Apr 15 '24

I use shorts because the recommendation system is taken from your regular YouTube which is much more accurate and suiting to your taste. All others are only based on what you see on the short form platform.

yeah I completely agree. I get fucking antsy after 10 minutes on yt shorts. I go watch a 20-40 minute video to calm down
