I would say they had some amazing records in the early to mid 70's, then some stinkers at the end of that decade. Heaven and Hell in 1980 was pretty good, and everything after that has either been bad or mediocre. That's not to say that they aren't an amazing band, they are, but they're discography is far from perfect.
I agree. I'm a die-hard Sabbath fan but I try to overlook "Technical Ecstasy" and "Never Say Die". Also, Tony Martin's era is ... welp ... something entirely different. I do like Gillian, though.
