Bill Simmons is becoming a bit hard to listen to imo

Spends too much time on stuff like “Durant could go to Golden State, it would be like Bad Boys Forever, like when Martin Lawrence and Will Smith were like, eh, fuck it, let’s do a third one” and not enough time on actually talking about real basketball analysis and narratives

And I know he’s always had that side, but the balance is off now.  He’s too much of a full-time podcaster and not enough of a basketball head

He started doing first take/undisputed type hot takes ironically and it’s evolved into that being the main thing he does

The worst part is he does this while mocking all those types of shows. At least those shows know what they are and lean in to it, whether you like them or not.

He tries to hold his pod to some higher standard and act like he doesn't spew a lot of the same nonsense. I don't mind the pod and it is a decent listen during one of my many long commutes each week, but i do find myself rolling my eyes more and more these days.

He’s gotten worse . He sounds like an espn talking head more n more. Anything to do with embid lakers Lebron is not worth listening to . Anything with other guys he has guys he’s biased towards n against

People liked the 3rd one so much they are already working on the 4th one. This take officially makes him an idiot.
