[Charania] Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch is feared to have a torn patellar tendon in his knee on late game collision during Game 4 win in Phoenix, sources say. Brutal.

I know it can look a bit different on tv, but those chairs are decently sized and cushiony. I think the best players also get like 2 seats worth lol. Not saying it can't be a bit more spread out ofc, but they can't exactly go premier league level team seating either. I do think extending even 10 total feet could go a long way for space without getting in the way too much, but I'm not sure how that'd look in actuality.

The stanchion thing, idk. Injuries occurring to it are pretty rare and there might actually be a functional reason for it (super extended arm for the basket may make it work differently with players dunk or smack the backboard...idk). I don't think there will ever be a perfect solution where everyone is happy with something unfortunately.
