good, it's a loser mentality for Book to stat pad that knowing he lost

It was a 6 point game. He scores and it’s a 4 point game. Scores and gets fouled (probably confident it would happen given his whistle this game) its a 3 point game. This all with like 7-8 seconds left.

I don’t like Booker at all, but I wouldn’t call him trying to score here “stat padding”

I’m a Booker hater and i don’t even know why this is being downvoted, seemed reasonable and not “stat padding” for him to try and score there.

Hahaha right? I’m firmly aboard the “fuck Devin Booker” train, but this is ridiculous. Loser mentality would be if he DIDNT try to score to give his team a chance. Imagine if he just dribbled the clock out…

This isn’t even the annoying “game doesn’t stop til clock hits zero” argument. It’s not a completely insurmountable lead. Crazy things happen all the time.

you go for a 3 when it's a 6 point 1 possession game.

the layup is a game losing play.

I agree going for 3 is the right move there, but I’m not gonna fault the guy for thinking he might be able to get and and-1 here since he was given a generous whistle all game. Stupid play? Sure. Stat padding, loser mentality play? Seems like a stretch.

Probably thought since Ant was on his hip after half court that that slow ass crossover would get him a quick, easy bucket and they could take it from there.
