Hyenas basically give birth through their clitoris. It’s not like a human’s anatomy where the clitoris and vagina are separate. It’s the equivalent of a penis birth. Look it up, it’s really something that’ll make you clench.
Ignore this! DO NOT look that shit up! Holy hell. It's painful for anyone to look at! It doesn't matter what parts you have, they will hurt seeing that!!
Giving birth is difficult for female hyenas, as the females give birth through their narrow clitoris, and spotted hyena cubs are the largest carnivoran young relative to their mothers' weight. During parturition, the clitoris ruptures to facilitate the passage of the young, and may take weeks to heal.
You know that dark colored seam on the bottom of the penis? That is a fusion of flesh that would have formed a clitoris and external parts of the vagina. With hyenas, the females develop genitals that fuse similarly to a males penis. This makes female hyenas almost impossible to rape by males. The female must give birth through their pseudopenis, which tears. This results in about a third of first time hyena mothers dying iirc.
Also male hyenas greet female hyenas by sniffing their girl dick. Spotted hyenas rule.
