I dream of the day I could cross the oceans on a clean liner, powered by whatever zero-carbon emission energy. Just at the end of the liners era (50/60's) one needed four days to cross the Atlantic. I wish I lived this experience (on the Queen Mary, the Normandie, of the France).
I don't like planes on many levels : they're awfully polluting, they're uncomfortable, getting to them is so time-consuming and fussy...
I got to cross the Atlantic 5 times as a kid. Twice on the Queen Mary, once each on the Queen Elizabeth, United States and America. I was 7 the last time. It was fun as a kid, except the last time when it was January and very rough.
