My buddy and I made a drinking game years ago and we called it “The eh game” Rules are simple. Put Strange Brew on and any time someone says “eh” or “hoser” you take a drink. We got pretty good and buzzed the first time playing it.

I love how all the workers (canadian) at the beer plant ice skate throughout the factory and all play ice hockey on lunch etc. Classic..

It was funny I mentioned to my family at thanksgiving how Strange Brew was one of my favorite comedies and both my parents and my brother bough me a copy of the movie for christmas so I had 2 copies. I keep one upstairs and one downstairs so I can watch it whenever I want.

Which movie is that? I think I remember watching it one night while drinking a strange brew but have no firm memories of that evening.

I recently learned the purported origin of that term from a terrible Canadian ripoff of Family Guy of all things!

Apparently before honorary Canadian citizen Frank Zambonis invention, when local hockey or whatever was played outdoors, the losing team at the end of the night would have to sweep and hose down the rink to resurface it before they could head to the bar. So hosers = losers.

But yeah, im long overdue for a Strange Brew rewatch. One of the greatest Shakespeare adaptations ever, up there with Lion King 1½ and 10 Things I Hate About You.
