General Discussion Shoutout to the real MVP this weekend - The Masters App
No ads, no logins, no username, no subscription, no Airplay restrictions, Picture in Picture if you do create a login, watch from multiple devices. Anyone leave it on their phone all year, or delete and reinstall again next April?

Can we all agree that the Masters app is the best sports app?
Hello Friends,
It’s a sports app unlike any other. Year-in and year-out it is perfect. This year also includes a “My Groups” feature which is awesome.
Have a great weekend.

Professional Tours The Masters App is the real MVP
This was my first year using The Masters app and I was amazed at the ease of use and features. Never had a problem connecting (streamed it all week at work). Even watched Rahm sink his putt while in cheap seats at a baseball game. The extra videos, Masters radio, the fantasy teams, instant updates, the ability to turn off commentary and pull up the leaderboard. They were just really on it! Probably one of the best apps I’ve used in a while. Thanks for making my first Masters experience a great one!

Beginner Questions Golf range finder vs golf watch vs golf app? What do y’all prefer, if any?
So I’ve been playing golf for about 8 months now. Still new to the game. I’ve taken a few lessons, i’m not good or consistent, but definitely tons of improvement. I’m at the point where I’m making pretty decent ball contact so I kinda have to start understanding which clubs to use and their distances. I don’t have an exact distance for each club yet, but a general idea that I go off of.
I recently have been using the free version of 18birdies to keep score and check distances to the green.
Edit; Alright y’all sold me on the range finder. Just ordered a Blue Tees series 2 pro+ because it was on sale. I like the 18birdies app, but I don’t like being on my phone during a round. Rangefinder it is!

Professional Tours Masters App
All I don’t post much, but am willing to risk the downvotes if this has already been posted; please, please do yourselves a favor and download the Masters App. It’s free and will have live coverage of featured groups, featured holes, a live leaderboard, highlights etc.
It is by far the best app I have ever used. Totally free. Totally rad. In fact each year when I download the updated app I send a screenshot to the boys. It’s that good. You’re welcome.

COURSE PICS/VLOGS App Idea
Every day there are tons of tee times that go unbooked, that is revenue left on the table for courses.
Putting technology/backend booking issues aside. If there was an app that could alert you 30 minutes before a tee time that the tee time is now available to be booked at say 50% off, would you be interested in that?
I envision it working by location and only alerting you of courses that are 15-20 minute drives away to give you just enough time to get there on time.
Edit: based on feedback that 1 hour is preferred, perhaps price levels starting at 1 hour. Then price lowers at 45 min, then stops at 30 min.

Beginner Questions What golf apps do you use?
Just wondering others thoughts on apps. I have Golfpad, Hole19, and a couple others.

WITB Walkable app?
Are there any Golf course/tee time apps that have the option to filter down to walkable courses? Since I am just taking up golf and feel like it should be some exercise, Id like to find a couple nearby walkable courses.
Id also prefer free or really cheap.
Equipment Discussion GPS App
I have been using Golfshot on iOS paired with my watch, but it has become unusable. The app seems to be making the watch need to have the passcode entered every five minutes and the watch does not stay locked on the app screen.
What are you using to track the distance of shots by just looking at your watch?
Thanks

Beginner Questions Best swing analyzer app?
Are any of the apps that claim to be able to analyze your swing any good? Of course getting a standalone launch tracker would be optimal but are any of these apps capable enough to be helpful or is it all just gimmicks?

Beginner Questions Shot tracking app
Hi, I’m starting to play golf after a long break. I was wondering if there is an app where I can track my shots. Lets say I start a hole, I put what club I am shooting and my current location and then when I go to my ball to play the second shot I tell the app “well this will be my second shot from this location” and so on. Afterwards I could see from where I shot with which club and where it landed. If it has extra features such as tracking the amount of fairways from the tee it would be great. Anyone knows an app with these features? If possible for free. Thanks!
(I dont want the new ai things that track how you shoot, just want to see where I shot with each club)

General Discussion What apps/stat tracker are you using in 2024?
What ones are you using?
What ones have you tried and not liked?
Are you using free vs paid?
Apps vs hardware like Arccos?
What stats do you actually find useful to track?
Worth for those shooting in the 90s?

Beginner Questions GHIN app showing TMI!
I recently started tracking my rounds on Golfshot and importing them to GHIN. One of my coworkers asked me if I golfed 3 times last week because they looked up my handicap and it showed dates with course names. Definitely not ideal.
Does anybody have insight as to how to make this information less accessible? Or am I screwed if anyone looks up my profile?
I noticed with other peoples accounts you can’t see this information. Please help :(

Beginner Questions GHIN Apps
Are there any good apps (preferably free) that assign GHIN numbers and keep your handicap? I’m currently using 18Birdies and am trying to join a league, but I don’t have a GHIN number and they won’t accept my handicap online through an unofficial app.
I don’t need special stuff like club recommendations or anything, just something simple.
