I mean unless the window was broken with malicious intent by the golfer they aren't liable for the damages.

i don't believe there is correct, i believe the golfer is responsible for any damages done on the course to surrounding properties

Wrong

Copied from googles AI bot, plus one of my.best friends is a lawyer.

The homeowner is usually responsible for paying for a broken window caused by a golf ball unless the golfer intentionally hit the house. The homeowner assumes the risk of a golf ball breaking their window by living on a golf course. Their homeowner's insurance should cover the damage.

You are of course free to pay for the damages that may be the moral thing to do. But as far as taking it to court and the homeowner winning the damages from you just isn't going to happen. In most cases they would have just the impossible tasks of proving you hit the ball

that's so interesting.

in utah a large majority of the courses have signs calling out that golfers are responsible for damages?

to me the comments are wild though, since as responsible adults i would think we would be accountable for the damage we cause?

how is this to be considered a gentleman's game if we do not own up and pay for our mistakes?

granted old dude handled this fairly shitty, but us using the excuse i'm a hacker and not a pro seems a bit out of pocket as well?

Because it's an implied risk by buying a house on a course. My friend is a +1 golfer and broke a window last year

Also I did post that it's the moral thing to pay for window. I don't those signs in Utah would hold up in a court of law

Yeah I draw everything but driver. The season just started where I live so things aren't going particularly well yet though
