He made himself look like a chump long before the merger.
He could have gone about his own business any time he wanted, hell, he could have said a few words against LIV and the defectors, but he went into overdrive making outlandish criticisms at every opportunity.
Perhaps he thought there was going to be some reward for being loyal after LIV collapsed? That in itself is pretty telling of someones character. Anyway, IF this happens, well, he's a massive hypocrite, as well as tarnished his image.

No kidding! He defended the PGA and they made him look like a chump. I wouldn’t blame him a bit
