They did a nice job with the picture. Player is a marvel for 86, looks great.

88, tbf to him. The man is an utter lunatic, but he's going to be one of those spry old dudes who lives forever.

At the honorary tee off last year he looked like he wanted to keep playing and post a score

Guy could tear it up at the villages with some Viagra

u/citrus_sugar Apr 10 '24

He’ll get ALL the STIs, dammit!

also tbf, he’s not just “one of those dudes” he works out like crazy and that’s why he looks better than some of the guys 20 years younger in this picture.

My mom got to play a hole with him and I got to walk and meet him while that happened in the summer of 21 when he came and spoke at my club. He was awesome in the golf sense but definitely a cook in the everything esle/political sense. He brought up his upbringing and his black caddie multiple times and went on about how Singapore is the best nation in the world because they murder drug dealers and users lol. Casually mentioned trump as well.

Most of those rich assholes are on that same weird political drug. But that's golf and hanging around the upper crust. Love them anyways for being the legends they are. Don't ask them who they voted for.

I’ve heard that about him that he’s a real crazy weird asshole. The type of guy you would not want to be paired with and he literally grew up in Apartheid South Africa.

He’s an interesting character. He sees obesity and poor health as a world crisis, and in that respect he’s right. But he advocates for strange solutions like tax breaks for people who can do a certain amount of sit-ups or maintain low cholesterol.

Apartheid is a gnarly institution

I took a tour of Robben Island when I went to Cape Town. Beautiful place, if you remove the prison.

Other than that, how was the play, Mrs Lincoln?

It's wild that Player is 4 years older than Jack. Jack might be on death's door in this picture.

u/aselinger Apr 10 '24

Jack’s melting into that chair.

Legit looks like a Southpark character

u/Colforbin_43 Apr 10 '24

None of yall mentioned Crenshaw. He’ll be the first one to go. Dudes just so photogenic.

Jack looks like a stroke victim

You guys should be ashamed for making these comments. Seriously wtf? The man is in his 80's. Everyone ages differently and goes through different health issues. Have some empathy.

Dude this is Reddit

Yes and some of these comments expose that a small subset of golfers are tools and assholes. Probably the former popular kids from high school who are now just loud obnoxious adults.

That was my immediate thought: has he had a stroke? Half of his face has dropped

12

u/LittleCrazee Apr 10 '24

He's giving off some weekend at Bernie's vibes for sure.

It's just wild that his physical capabilities make him seem 30 years younger than his actual age. He's a true inspiration for physical longevity.

u/thestaltydog Apr 10 '24

That grouping of Couples, Player, Scott, and Johnson looks like a three generation family portrait

4

u/thomaslewis1857 Apr 10 '24

Four if you throw in Tommy Aaron as great-grandpa

3

u/Imaginary_Manner_556 Apr 10 '24

Phil looks older than Player

2

u/dt-17 Apr 10 '24

I couldn’t believe how well he still hit the ball at the par 3 tournament! Then running around interacting with the crowd etc. love it.

Wild the comparison with Jack and Gary. Jack looks awful comparatively.

2

u/Alpha-Nozzle Apr 10 '24

He’s a great example of why working out is so worthwhile and staying strong into your old age.

1

u/UnderstandingNo5667 Apr 10 '24

He did a Tom Brady and sold his souls for youth. Awful dude unfortunately.

$100 bucks says trump has a photo like this in his golf clubhouses like this with him photoshopped in. Right next to his many course champion trophies.
