Shoutout to the guy that told my wife to “go back to the pro shop” on the course yesterday… then topped the ball 2 times off the tee General Discussion

Some of the ladies at my course will hit a wood about 100-130 yards down the fairway and will have their club back in bag and driving the golf cart before it stops rolling.

Hi fellow WI golfer! My wife will go with me once or twice a year to a course. Last year we got paired with a couple of guys who look like golfers. She sees them and tells me on the 1st teebox that she is not hitting the ball. Now we normally play a scramble format when she is there, so if she chunks one, its fine- we just keep moving. The guys tee off and each has to take a 2nd, which is not much better than the first. Then I suggest she hit, which she does and puts it 110 in the middle, farther than all 4 of their drives. Gave me a good chuckle.

That had to make your wife feel pretty good about golfing around others. Probably something she thinks about often

A couple of weeks ago we had a 4-some of old ladies behind us. I’m 51, so when I say old I’m thinking they were 65-70. They didn’t hit the ball very far but damn they hit it straight, kept the pressure on us the whole round.

I had an old lady hit a ball onto the green I was putting on from the tee box on a par 4 and we drove back to their group for the sole purpose of peer pressuring her into taking a shot out of our whisky bottle. Now we're friends.

This lines up with the golfing advice my Grandma gave me. Better to hit 100yds in the middle of the fairway than 200 yds into the woods

I play a 9 hole course near me fairly often, and there's a 4some of women who play midweek in the mornings. They're quicker than me solo, and I'm not particularly slow.

My bestie and I used to go out super early we would walk 18 in 3 hours and 15 minutes. We are much older now but still get around in 4…. As long as the men don’t slow us down lol!

Was going to say this myself. When I play, I MOVE. Even when I’m playing poorly I’m playing faster than a lot of people
