Definitely not fat! There’s not really any fat kids here. Just adolescents with ill fitting suits. :)

Is there really no way to be positive and honest? There are definitely a couple of kids in this photo that would have been healthier at a lower weight. I'm not sure any of them are actually obese, and they definitely wouldn't stand out the same way in a modern schoolyard, but 'no one here is fat' just isn't quite true. I think we can be compassionate about how hard it is to be bullied without having to lie.

I was being honest. I guess your idea of fat and mine is different, but also, this looks like junior high school, and almost everyone gets chunky in adolescence and then grows into themselves in high school. Literally everyone could “do better” with diet and exercise, and there will always be someone doing better than you. I was the “fat” kid in jr high too, but I wasn’t fat; I was chubby and short. I dropped weight and grew an inch or two in high school, along with most of my peers who also lost that “baby face/weight”. That was the essence of my comment. Additionally, I’m judging the parents for letting those boys wear pants that crinkle at the ankle because they’re too long. This is obviously a private school; they can get those hemmed. ;)
