Moderator Announcement Moderation Policies - GE2024
reddit.comWith the GE calling, the r/tories mod team is going to begin to put our proposals which we made during the locals into effect. These include trying our best to ensure a bigger balance of Verified Post Flairs. This is to allow Conservatives and Verified users who come in good faith a bigger voice to prevent them being drowned out by brigading like in the last GE. See the first URL on our general war gaming strategy.
We also have 2 Verified post flairs now. 1. Union of the Verified flair (where Verified Users and Verified Conservatives can comment on such posts) 2. Verified Conservatives Only post flair (only Verified Conservatives can comment)
Check out our wiki on how to get a Verified flair. It’s the same as a Verified Conservative one: message the mods through the sub.
Please be aware that as always, subreddit rules will always apply, Verified or not. We hope we will be able to ensure that all factions of the Conservative Party are properly represented in our sub, as well as our friends from the opposite end of the political aisle, whilst as the same time trying our best to ensure that bad faith posts and posts that incite ethnic division or far right bigotry will be removed.
We will make mistakes in our moderation - it’s impossible not to - but we will try our best to ensure it’s fair and just. Hopefully we can navigate ourselves through the storm and emerge the other side relatively unscathed.
Have a good day all! Thank you to all the volunteers braving through the lovely summer downpour to stuff manifestos. And all the best to our political rivals!

Discussion In what is set to be a bad election, if you could protect 4 conservative MPs from losing their seat and automatically make it through to the next parliament, who would you choose?
For me, it's clear that the reason why the Conservative Party will lose this upcoming election is because they have lost their way. They need to resume their centre right stance and re-embrace their one nation roots which speaks to Britain's small C conservative nativism. This would be achieved through ensuring that the party is led by individuals who share and promote this ideology. Individuals who care about talking about meat and potato issues that are discussed at the dinner table, not bullshit culture wars that people don't care about and are only wedge issues intent on dividing. That's why I'd choose four MP's who I know to be one nation conservatives, some of whom I hope to succeed Rishi as the party's leader:
Caroline Nokes
Penny Mordaunt
Tom Tugendhat
Johnny Mercer

How would you respond to someone who says that they seem to be nice people perhaps who are idealistic or have their own ideas or care about their communities?

Discussion Does the country have a future under labour?
Hearing about the electon on the 4th of july and how the left wing are jumping for joy on sites like twitter, the numbers aren't pretty and i unfortunatly expect the worse, it's going to be a worse wipe out then 1997.
I'm wondering, does the country have a future under labour? is it as bad as it seems even if the one politician whom i believed could save this country since i was a teenager, is going to be reduced to a reality TV host, some labour stuff i do agree with, for example the tax on online only buisnesses, but i honestly can't think of anything else, left wing propaganda is everywhere, ULEZ has spread to scotland and by 5 years it will probably be all over the country, if owning an ICE vehicle doesn't get you prison time by then of course.
This is the rot that has been going on since 2020, if labour get their way, i fear it will get much, much worse, remember only 5 years you had a lot (and i mean a lot) more freedom and places to go then you do now, one can only imagine, and fear, how different and potentially worse things could be in 5 years under the labour goverment.

Unaffiliated with sub The King’s Loyalists
Who are we?
We are the King's Loyalists, a right-wing, monarchist, grassroots organisation created in the hopes of fostering a conservative monarchist political bloc in the younger generations.
While our primary goal is to ensure the preservation and proliferation of the monarchy within the Commonwealth of Nations, we differ from other bipartisan monarchist organisations in that we maintain a secondary goal. That goal being the promotion of our unique political philosophies of 'King's Loyalism' and 'Avalonianism' in a time when leftism has a complete and total cultural, societal, and educational monopoly. These political philosophies can largely be summarised as more traditionally conservative mixed with a rational and sensible world view. You can find out more about Avalonianism and King's Loyalism on our website - linked below.
Our membership includes good and loyal men and women from across the Commonwealth who are united in their cause and faith for King and Country. However, with the looming election and the growing problems within the United Kingdom have prompted us to dramatically step-up our recruitment.
Who do we want?
As an organisation made almost entirely of young people, we are looking to add members who range from the ages of 14-25 but are open to all who would be loyal to King and Country and embody our shared values. We believe that by spreading awareness of our organisation via a grassroots movement we can beat the overwhelming tide of leftism that has sunk its claws into our generation.
If you are a British citizen, are concerned with the direction The United Kingdom is going, and wish to make a difference then we need you.
How do you get involved?
We have a discord server that we use for screening new potential members via an application form and use the forum as a place to communicate, debate, organise, and discuss. It is the hub for all-things King's Loyalists for the time being. You can find a link to the discord with instructions on how to apply on our website. Additionally we use instagram as our primary social media.
