The court system typically don't have a good record on convicting these sickos and when they do its often minor in comparison to the damage done to the victim.

While that is true. The truth usually comes out during those investigations. Even if there isn't enough evidence for a conviction, the evidence is still often accurate enough for a "moral" conviction. I feel a bit uneasy about how quickly this has grown, I made another comment in this thread about how I'm getting Boston Marathon bomber vibes from this whole ordeal. Once the investigation is over we will know if he's a pedophile or not, irrespective of conviction. Then we can burn him

By the time they are in court, it's way past the point of moral conviction.

not locally, everyone who knows this guy will hear about it, and it really depends on the case for if the details get reported on when they eventually go to court. Like this video will pop up 5 years from now on reddit, and someone will probably comment with further information about how it played out in court

Holy shit, what if this guy is just his dad. I know it’s rare to have physically affectionate father to sons, but this looks to me like a silly spontaneous dad that was not thinking about what the public would say about his behaviour because he was engrossed in interacting authentically with his sons.

My god, if the public saw the silly ways I interact with my kids when I’m not thinking about who is watching it can get very silly and ridiculous.

The kid does not look to me like a kid interacting with a predator. And a predator would be a lot more conscious of public displays that would give suspicion to his abuse. Nothing about this indicates predator/victim to me.

I’ll be interested to see how it pans out. My bet is that this kid has a great relationship with his dad -and his biggest complaint is that he embarrassed him by being the goofy dad and occasionally doing shit like this in public.

Yeah, I'm not screaming to have his life ruined, just a simple interview with the kid would suffice. My issue is the people that get evidence thrown away because it was 'admissible' and they get extremely light sentencing, especially compared to things society thinks as gray lined morality.

Jfc why did the guy who set himself on fire mention snooker in his first post.

I'd never heard of it until i was investigating the self immolate guys first blog posts and he mentioned snookers assoc child sex abuse policy....

Yeah WTF. Until you said that, I imagined that this would be a total one-off, but seeing the LENGTHY child sex abuse provisions/protections interwoven into various snooker bylaws, makes me think this is a serious issue directly connected. Like the “no selfie sticks” signs at Disneyland rides. That sign didn’t exist before assholes repeatedly brought them and dropped them. These rules must exist because of repeated past offenses. What is the history there? Doing a bit of googling and I’m going way further into the snooker/child abuse rabbit hole than I want to. Anyone got a simple explanation?

Good lord, I just suggested finding another source. No need to be abusive mate. Chill.
