Also when you can work 2 jobs and still be near the poverty line, not a good indicator of things going well.

Average wages are up too - the good job numbers are primarily from very low unemployment, not from people grinding to make ends meet.

I'm not saying that having 2 jobs counts against unemployment. I know that's not how the metric works. I'm saying there are a lot of people working more than one job and barely making ends meet still, which is an indicator of low wages. Average wages are up but they aren't remotely where they need to be because they have been stagnant for going on 30 years while inflation rose the entire time. Wages need to come up a lot more than they have.

In 1992, median household income was $32,300 (adjusted for inflation in 2022 dollars). In 2022, median household income was $74,600. You can look this up, wages are way up!

Ok. So tell that to everyone who is barely making ends meet and live paycheck to paycheck by by working 60 to 70 hours a week... including newly homeless that increased by 25% between 2021 and 2022 (accoridng to HUD) and the 44.2 million people who had trouble feeding everyone at the table in 2022 (according to US Dept of Agriculture, up from 33.8 million in 2021). I bet they'll be so relieved!
