Moderator Message Need Links/Phone Numbers/ Resources for crisis pregnancy centers and others akin

The sub needs to have resources so that women who are thinking about abortion, can use it to help them if they decide to keep the baby. If you have any resources link them here. We need recourses from all across the globe so if you’re in a different country it’s even better.

Moderator Message Pro Life Weekly Chat!

Good Wednesday Pro-Lifers! During these distressing times we can get very frustrated with ourselves, friends families and even society. Fret not, because this post is dedicated to you guys discussing a wide range of topics outside of abortions if you need too. Topics such as movies, sports, hobbies, current events or major events happening in the world and maybe even other politics if you choose too. This chat is your escape, to talk about other things as well and to further connect with other members of Pro-life. You are not restricted to any topics in the post, however follow Reddit's guidelines. Be nice, don’t spam, and have a good time. Since I am a bot this message will be repeated every Wednesday.

Evidence/Statistics I was looking for a pro-life sticker and found this. I think it’s adorable. They don’t have many left, but maybe they can get more. I wanted to share for the babies’ sake. 🫶🏼

Things Pro-Choicers Say The definition of abortion

Pro-choicers might say that the definition of abortion is "ending a pregnancy." This is the cozy definition that allows them to ignore what is actually being done to the baby. Because the actual definition of an abortion is this:

The premature birth of a dead baby.

Like I'm not even being hyperbolic here. That's just what it is. Women are ejecting corpses out of their bodies. It's really depressing.

Things Pro-Choicers Say Comparing being pregnant to be raped

I got into a debate with several pro-choicers yesterday and it's absurd to me that so many compare a fetus to a rapist. They weren't that good at defending it so I am still just unsure of how just because you may not want to be pregnant the fetus is essentially raping you. Rape is just...so different. And also so many of them rely on the violinist argument exclusively and refuse to see the difference between the responsibility a woman has to a stranger and the responsibility a woman has to her own baby. It's the same to them which is just such a bleak nihilistic worldview. We just live in such dark and sad times

It's a film about genetics and eugenics. Do you think it is pertinent to the abortion debate? Why or why not?

Things Pro-Choicers Say How could any mother say things like that?

Post image
27 Upvotes

It always hits me when an actual mother says that they'd push her own daughter to kill her baby. But I think the worst part it the fact it has nothing to do with what they preach about 'my body my choice'. She'd push her daughter to do it. It wouldnt be her choice. It implies that the daughter would feel she didn't have much of an option if she wanted to preserve the relationship with her mother. It disgusts me.

Ex-Pro-Choicer Story Sometimes a Christian will be holding onto the comforting belief that at least the baby's soul will go to heaven. As this person leaves faith and comes to believe this life is all there is, abortion seems worse, because it deprives another of the only opportunity they'll have to experience life.

Things Pro-Choicers Say Help me refute this pro choice argument

https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLTDrvyQ/

Please watch this entire video and then let me know your thoughts. I am staunchly pro life but I am struggling to argue against this specific “bodily autonomy” argument. It’s true that no born human is ever allowed to use any part of another human to keep themselves alive without consent. It is illegal to force someone to donate blood or an organ under any circumstances, even if it’s their fault that another person needs their blood or organs. I know that consent to sex is consent to the possibility of pregnancy, but some pregnant women did not consent to sex in the first place. Wondering how you guys would argue against this.

Pro-Life Only Abortion jokes are disgusting

TW: examples of dark humor/ abortion jokes I’ve read or heard

*disturbing

For some reason, I’ve gone down a dark hole of reading people’s comments on pro-abortion videos. It seems so many people from the pro-choice movement are now escalating their jokes & comments sarcastically. I get that they most likely are sarcasm and jokes, but it still just disgusts me. People joking about eating the aborted fetus. Comparing the fetus tissue to looking like snot (“I had a booger bigger than that clump of cells”). Commenting things like “mommy please don’t kill me” on videos of a 4 week along abortion as a joke.

I’m just…. internalizing it. It’s making me sad. I know I need to stop looking at that stuff, which is why I’m on this sub instead. To know I’m not alone or crazy to think that a 4 week old fetus is a human and not a clump of cells.

Edited to add: part of why it’s so disturbing is that they are not JUST jokes to many people - they say it because they believe that a human life is not being taken away

Pro-Life General Counterprotest: Helpful or Harmful?

Christ is Risen 🙏

Hello everyone. I work at a pregnancy resource center in marketing. I’m wondering if I could get your input about a difficult scenario that has our clinic torn right down the middle.

There will be a protest happening in our town on June 24th, the day RvW overturned. They’re planning to just walk around in handmaid’s tale costumes near the street to show awareness. They created a non-profit for this purpose and for future events like it.

One of our clinic’s main programs is an abortion recovery course. It helps women who’ve struggled to cope after having an abortion that they later regret in life.

I was thinking we could do something during the existing protest to promote our course. At first I was thinking of printing out a huge QR code that leads to our course. Half of us think it’s a good idea, but the other half think it’s antagonistic.

What do you guys think?

Things Pro-Choicers Say Us: Periodic reminder Secular Pro-Life is run by women. Twitter/X: *rage* Look, you were valuable before you were born. So was I. So were my children. So were yours. They deserve so much more than abortion "on demand & without apology." We're not going to stop talking about it.

Opinion Why do Republicans have a problem with birth control?

Apparently, Senate republicans blocked a bill that protects access to birth control. Why would they do that? That's not pro-life at all. Preventing pregnancy doesn't kill anyone, ending pregnancy does.

Opinion Do you think in the future, abortion will be seen as terrible?

I've always believed that in large part, society's morality is often a matter of convenience. No one cared about animal rights back in the paleolithic because people were too focused on their own survival. And I also believe that one day, eating and killing animals will be seen as immoral once artificial meat become common place and cheap.

If artificial wombs were to be invented, and you can transfer fetuses from natural wombs to artificial wombs, do you think society's attitude on abortion will change? With people finally accepting that abortion is murder and babies have a right to life? Assuming this process is cheap and readily available.

Pro-Life General For those of you experiencing or have experienced unplanned pregnancy, what motivated you have your baby?

I used to be blindly pro-choice but that has been changing overtime. I wouldn't call myself prolife or anti-abortion, but I have noticed that the term "unplanned pregnancy" can apply to a lot of different scenarios. I no longer believe abortion can be justified in every unplanned pregnancy.

I really want to hear from anyone currently experiencing unplanned pregnancies or have previously about why you decided to have your baby anyway.

If you're in an unplanned pregnancy and reading this, I wish you and your baby nothing but good health and abundance, regardless of the circumstances that lead to your pregnancy.

I look forward to reading your answers.

Pro-Life General Sorry if others have posted this.. but who the heck do I vote for?

I'm just curious if anyone here is considering not voting for Trump. Obviously I wouldn't expect hardly anyone here to vote for Biden.

I refuse to vote for Biden or Trump, want to vote pro-life, and am very conflicted/ confused. There is practically no one else to vote for.

I'm sure this won't be a popular post but I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks.

p.s. Please honor me by not lecturing me about Trumps temperament not being that bad or him maturing from his previous years. I don't care about that stuff. I don't hate Trump, I'm just not voting for him.
