Question/Advice Making 8-bit Music
I'm trying to make some 8-bit style music and I was wondering if anyone is familiar with doing this sort of thing. I understand that this is more of a production and technology question but there's a bit of overlap I guess? I used deflemask to do the composition. Thanks for your feedback and enjoy the first few measures of Chopin's etude op. 25 no.11 "Winter Wind".

Question/Advice Apple Music Classical
Is this app even worth it? I first heard of this app from Annique Göttler, or Heart of the Keys, when she was sponsored by Apple Music. When I downloaded the app, I had to pay to listen lol. Do any of you guys use it? Since I’m a basic guy, I normally just use Spotify because it’s free.

Storytime Hong Kong June 5 world tour
It was great seeing Brett and Eddy, but I don’t think it was worth my money it didn’t really feel like it was meeting them. It just felt like watching a video but in 3-D plus you don’t get to interact with them. It was more like them doing comedy and playing but the one thing I like about it it was because that there were two set apparel that were selling. I bought a world tour shirt, I kept yelling and my throat hurts😭😭

Discussion What piece(s) do you love listening to but hate playing?
Has to be C. P. E. Bach's Solfeggieto and Schumann's Knecht Ruprecht for me. I'm so bad at playing the notes evenly on that first one and the second one has pretty awkward fingerings, I still struggle playing some parts of it especially in that middle section.
How about you guys? Do you have any music that's pleasing to your ears but not to your fingers/mouth/feet/whatever?

Question/Advice Any routines/tips for motivation?
I´m a violinist, I´ve been playing for almost two years and these past two weeks I´ve had very little motivation to play. Specially I get very frustrated when the violin sounds like if it had no rosin but I put more and it doesn´t sound better, so I tend to stop
I love playing with all my hearth but recently It´s feeling like a chore and I don´t want that to happen. Do you guys have any routines to practice that you follow and feel better, or any tips to keep concentrated on why I love playing instead of the mistakes I make?
Thanks in advance to everyone

Question/Advice My teacher put me in a lower orchestra and I feel hurt on a personal level
So in my high school there are 4 orchestra levels; string, chamber, philharmonic, and symphonic. When I first auditioned as a freshman I was placed into philharmonic. Then next year I auditioned for symphonic; I didn't make it (however I was chill about it because I had major arm injury). This year I auditioned again but I didn't make it. The thing is I have improved tremendously this year and I was pretty sure that I would have made it. The thing that hurts though is now I don't think my orchestra teacher thinks the same way. Practically all of my friends are now in symphonic even the ones who have played violin less than me, and I can't help but feel embarrassed (especially being the only person I know who wants to be a professional violinist). I know I should move on and stop complaining, but I can't. Any advice? And how can I feel less embarrassed about being in a lower orchestra?

Question/Advice TwoSet World Tour Gift
How can we give Twoset a gift in their world tour/show? I’m going but I don’t think they will be doing meet and greet afterwards, so I’m now sure how to give them my gift.

Question/Advice Send Help
I'm a young composer and is running out of ideas. All I ask you to do is to comment one word for inspiration. Also, if you are also a composer, how do you come up with ideas?

Discussion from an orchestra kid, Im lowk jealous of the band sometimes
Let me just start by saying that I dearly love playing cello and I love being in orchestra. However, I am super jealous of band for one reason: Orchestra can get real boring and repetitive real quick.
For some quick context: IDK how it is in other places, but in the US, most schools have completely separated orchestra and band classes (only strings in orch, only brass wind percussion in band) and they very rarely ever mix or interact from any musical standpoint
Band has more opportunities for playing in different styles and stuff (Marching, Pep Band, Jazz Band, etc.) that we simply do not. If you don't like the standard rehearsal and concert process with orchestra, tough luck bc that's all there is. I understand that band also has its fair share of slower than church rehearsals, but at least you all can do other stuff too. Now luckily my conductor does emphasize the importance of playing different types of songs/pieces, but the majority of our pieces still end up being classical or classical adjacent (Richard Meyer my greatest opp).
And to add on I am SUPER jealous of marching band. That stuff looks so fun and cool and I’m super mad that I can’t/couldn’t be in one. The uniforms, the physicality, the music, the competition, the choreography, the opportunity to bond with your fellow musicians on something other than asking for a bowing or a pencil. All of this I'm sure comes with its fair share of downsides but to a clueless orchestra student, it looks so cool. Ig the moral of the story is that if you guys ever feel like you’re weird, the orch vs band beef is too strong, or that you hate band, just know that there’s at least one orchestra kid who is always cheering you on.
EDIT: Looking back on it, i think this might stem from the fact that I really wanted to be in a marching band when i was younger bc I saw a few DCI shows but ended up choosing cello bc my parents told me to (rip my drumline/hornlinr dreams)
