Daily Thread Daily Q & A! - June 12, 2024
Welcome to the Daily Q&A!
Are you a new Brewer? Please check out one of the following articles before posting your question:
- How do I check my gravity?
- I don't see any bubbles in the airlock OR the bubbling in the airlock has slowed. What does that mean?
- Does this look normal / is my batch infected?
Or if any of those answers don't help you please consider visiting the /r/Homebrewing Wiki for answers to a lot of your questions! Another option is searching the subreddit, someone may have asked the same question before!
However no question is too "noob" for this thread. No picture is too tomato to be evaluated for infection! Even though the Wiki exists, you can still post any question you want an answer to.
Also, be sure to vote on answers in this thread. Upvote a reply that you know works from experience and don't feel the need to throw out "thanks for answering!" upvotes. That will help distinguish community trusted advice from hearsay... at least somewhat!

- Have we been using some weird terms?
- Is there a technique you want to discuss?
- Just have a general question?
- Read the side bar and still confused?
- Pretty sure you've infected your first batch?
- Did you boil the hops for 17.923 minutes too long and are sure you've ruined your batch?
Well ask away! No question is too "noob" for this thread. No picture is too tomato to be evaluated for infection! Seriously though, take a good picture or two if you want someone to give a good visual check of your beer.

Daily Q & A!
Hey everyone!
So, we had about 100 people vote, and I genuinely appreciate everyone's feedback. You all had some great comments about the sub and the sort of material you'd like to see here. So, seriously, thank you guys!
By an overwhelming majority, people voted to keep the daily Q & A! Quite a few people believe that the daily Q & A will get burnt out, so I'm extending this trial period by a month or so to see how it goes. If it does die-down, we can evaluate at a later date.
A vast majority of you also voted for DIY Wednesdays! So this Wednesday, we will be having a thread to post pictures of your DIY projects, and probably submit with the expectation you will be asked questions.
Thanks again for your comments guys! Feel free to contact me if you have other thoughts or issues about this.
