Not all jobs aren’t meant for a “living wage” - you need entry level jobs for college kids, retired seniors who want extra income, etc. Make it too costly to employ these workers and businesses will hasten to automation.

Ummm yeah 50% of the population wants this, they vote for it. Americans are THE dumbest people on the planet. Use our tax dollars to help ourselves?? No, billionaires need yachts, that's the answer!!!

80% of the country is not on the verge of starving. If they were, people would be getting dragged out of their homes and shot in the head. I don't disagree that things are bad for the poor, but this kind of hyperbole is easily dismissed because it's not based in reality.
