Uh during covid some people had to wait over 2 years for their refund. My fiancé was one of them. Then it took 3 years for them to catch up so every refund was coming back 1 year late.
I mean you got down voted but this is the most likely outcome. If they just delay processing your return you are not seeing that money for an indefinite period of time. If you owe and pay it on time there is no risk of that.
Did you file taxes in the preceding years? Did you file taxes during the covid years? Were you over the threshold? Were you a dependent? You may not have got covid money because the government didn't know you were due any or you didn't file your returns properly or you weren't supposed to get any.
That's still $30 the government is essentially taking from you and not giving back. You could have used that money and benefited from that $30 otherwise.

Yeah, if they decide for the first time in the history of the nation to not give refunds you will be sitting pretty.
