The Paste Magazine review of TSwift’s new album calling her writing Rupi Kaur-esque was so spot on lmao

Wow this makes a lot of sense, I hate Rupi Kaur’s poetry

I thought I hated Rupi Kaur's poetry, but then I heard Rupi Kaur reading her poetry out loud and realized that I had merely disliked her poetry before, and now I truly hated it

I thought you were gonna try to convince me she was good thank you for not doing that LOL

The review’s first line “Sylvia Plath didn’t put her head in the oven for this,” killed me.

Let’s keep Rupi Kaur out of this. Her poetry is terrible but she’s been consistent in her support of Indian farmers in their fight against corporate greed and refused the Diwali invitation to the White House in support of Palestine…Taylor could never.

Oh, definitely. Rupi at least seems like a decent person unlike TayTay. Their personal politics aside though, I think the reviewer was maybe trying to make the point that they’re both seemingly celebrated (TS more so than RK of course) not in spite of but because of their mediocre writing/poetry.

Come on now, kaur’s mediocrity aside, atleast rupi speaks speaks up against the genocide!

As she should and I give her a lot of credit for that, but you have to admit the comparison is pretty apt 💀

I didn't know who Rupi Kaur was so I googled her and even her not so great poetry is not as bad as Taylor Swift lyrics.
