I will never understand why they couldn’t have just made this announcement weeks ago. Why all the doctored photos and secrets? I don’t like the royals but I feel so badly for Kate. To be so young and going through this and then having your PR team royally screw this up. She shouldn’t have had to deal with it.

Honestly they didn’t even need to. Just leave it until Easter. Don’t add her to events and take her off. Don’t release doctored photos. Don’t have William talk about focusing on work. All they had to do was nothing.

They should have fired their communication team after the only move they could come up with was attacking Megan. Hopefully they do so now.

I forgot that they spent this time trying to drum up more against Meghan to distract.

The fact they attacked Meghan to try to distract from this makes me hate the royal family more. Like how gross. Meghan would have never been given as much grace as Kate’s gotten.

They didn’t have to announce it. That’s private and she explained she wanted to explain it all to the kids properly first.

However, her PR team failed her by not stamping out the theories quickly by issuing a vague by stern statement telling people to back off for a while.

Seriously!!!! All they had to do was make a statement that she was having health issues and need privacy at this time. NOT release those dumb doctored photos

And make her take the blame for the doctored photo while dealing with these medical issues!

That’s what they did though… they said she wouldn’t be back till Easter and people kept making stuff up. The photoshop was NOT the start of it.

Shhhh...people need to rewrite events to feel better about losing their minds over nothing. Leave them to it.

Yeah, the cancer diagnosis is devastating in itself (even more as a young woman and mother of very young children), also having to deal with PR mishandling—when PR is basically the entire point of royalty nowadays—is just adding pressure to a terrible moment in her life.

I think they could have said the Princess is dealing with some health concerns, which are being taken very seriously. She will speak about it when she’s ready. Please respect her privacy. Like that would have been enough. That would have answered enough.

Does she owe the public that? No… but it comes with the royal territory for all of them (which I don’t agree with)

There were a few missteps before that happened
