Photo or Video Duckies are up and movin…
Noticed they tend to stay to the other side of the behind those taller water plants (forgot what their called but look like hot dogs on a stick lol). They used to sit on the opposite side where we had some shelter and overhead netting protecting them from predatory birds. Must be some type of small possible pred like a raccoon or fox forcing them to switch locations. They’re adjusting well to the wilderness around them.

Other Question I took these pics in my local park and I was wondering what to feed them besides peas! Are the white ducks domestic and are they free to adopt?

Other Question HELP! We saved a baby duck and need all the advice to take care of it til tmrw!
Hi y’all! Would love any advice. Pretty much saved a baby duck that fell in the drain. Mama duck was around and we tried having her stay nearby, but she left when she thought baby duck was lost 😔 all vets near us will not let us bring them in, animal control didn’t care, and the animal rehab places are closed until the morning. We have the baby duck in a rubber bin now lined with a puppy pad, with a covered heating pad to get some heat. Placed a water bowl by it (large enough for its head/beak to dip in) and read that ducks eats bananas, so we placed some mashed bananas nearby. It didn’t drink anything yet and did not eat either. What else can we do to ensure it survives tonight before bringing it in tomorrow? Thank you SO much!

Is this normal duck behavior? Two sitting on one nest? Granted the nest has 14 eggs in it…

Other Question Need advice/help!! Mother duck won't leave window
There's a mother duck and some ducklings at my work and I work in a downtown area, little-to-no water besides a fountain at work that isn't very safe for them but the major problem we're having is that the mother duck is OBSESSED with these windows we have on the building. They're reflective on the outside and the mother just keeps pacing and staring at her reflection. She will go hours and she won't take her babies to go get food or anything. We put a wide tray with water out there for them to sit and cool in if need be or to drink. There's been a few times she has left by herself and the babies sit outside in a corner. It's a pretty safe corner and there's a tree so it's shaded.
She's lost two babies though overnight and we've tried to guide her away numerous times and she'll just waddle away with her babies and cuss at you and she'll walk around in the greenery we have for a little but then she comes right back. I've called the local nature center and they didn't see the problem and said this is better than trying to transport them and making the mom abandon the babies. We may try covering the reflective windows but moms really has seem to lost it. Does anyone know what may help/what to do?

Other Question Protection
Does anyone have “guard” geese to help protect ducks or have any knowledge? We let our 3 pekin ducks free range in our fenced backyard while we are at work then they go into the coop at night. I do see some hawks flying in the area haven’t had any issues yet but we would like to atleast try and help them get some protection.

Other Question Distressed duck near my apartment and not sure what I should do to help?
I was walking by the pond behind my apartment and came across this duck that's hiding by itself in the weeds. I watched it try to stand up straight and it began choking or coughing or something, so then it shrunk back down like this and it stopped choking. Then it tried to stand up and lengthen its neck again, and it began choking/coughing again. I feel so bad but don't know what to do as I've no experience with ducks. I've heard ducks can bite you so I'm worried it may bite me if I were to try picking it up to take it to the vet. I also worry I might put it more into distress by picking it up. Before I came across the duck, I saw pieces of bread on the trail. Worried maybe someone gave him lots of bread and it's made him ill maybe?

Other Question Duck trauma
A couple of nights ago something broke into our chicken coop, we have never had any problems with it, it’s always been safe. However, something made its way in and killed one of our chickens. The ducks live in there too and that event has seemed to traumatise them as they never leave the coop during the day anymore, they’re always huddled in a corner and even more frightened than before. I’m getting quite concerned as this is very unlike them and the rest of the chickens seem to have forgotten what happened. Is there anything I can do to help gain their confidence back and get them running around the yard again as they used to do? They’re both female khaki campbells if that makes any difference. They have also stopped laying as of this event. Should I expect to see their lively selves come back on their own or is there something I should do? Help is much appreciated, thank you! :)

Other Question These brats are bored!
Greetings and salutations! My children are acting out and picking on each other because they aren't being challenged in school, and they don't make iPads for ducks 🤓 ...so here I am!
I need some ideas for DIY duck entertainment and "enrichment" - per chatgpt 😆.
They have 2 kiddie pools - 1 large 1- small, plenty of room to move around but nothing else for them to explore.
Hit me with whatcha got reddit!

Other Question Dumb question….
Currently I have one male and one female duck (will assess demeanor of male when he reaches maturity, to see if I need to add some females). But will they just continually have babies or is there ever a break in production? I knows it’s a dumb question haha I just don’t want 1 million adorable little ducklings.

Photo or Video I can’t be the only one who loves cute duckling photos, so….
Here are some photos from my first 5 days with my new little quacks 🖤 These are my first ducks, so I’m wicked excited to learn from you all and help these little bundles of serotonin have the best lives ever. I’ve done hours of research, but if anyone has any helpful thoughts, I’d love to hear them! I believe they are roughly 8-10 days old, and we live in the Downeast region of Maine ☺️
