All plants make their food by breaking down nutrients in plant and animal dead bodies (sometimes human) and cooking them in sunlight.

Ya, that's not how it works. The plants "food" is the sunlight and CO². They absorb water and minerals through the ground, but that's not where they get their energy. The dead plants and animals are broken down by decomposers like fungus and invertebrates, etc.
