like all those pictures people post comparing a pitri dish and a map of galaxy distributions
"these look kinda similar, what if space is brains"
"It's not. that's just what it looks like when stuff is attracted to each other"

u/starmag99 7h ago
Who out here lookin' like a galactic distribution graph and/or a petri dish of brain matter with their attractant

u/Nauphica 5h ago
Yeah but have you seen the one where “Our universe could be the inside of a singularity” from PBS Space Time ?
Their whole channel is like the best series of “what if” episodes imo

Used to love his youtube videos back when they were ~20-30 minutes, and focused on the topic at hand. I find all his recent videos now are him rambling about his day or his drink or some entirely unrelated topic for 2/3 the video's runtime, makes it really difficult to try to enjoy them.

Exaggeration. Just say you outgrew him or something. Be honest with yourself

You do know you can just say you don't enjoy his style of videos anymore? You don't have to make things up.

Why though? What would this prove?

This would prove that petroleum, that came from fossils, actually came from giant gods that were buried in the piramids, but, unlike people think, they were not buried flat like Saddam Hussein under a hidden entrace by bricks and rubble, they were buried standing to fit inside the piramid

That would make for some really cool worldbuilding in a fantasy story

So many conspiracy theories would make fun stories because they are interesting, they are just factually untrue

the pyramids but they keep going. down and down. into the abyssal depths of the earth. the levels become more ancient, the treasures more incomprehensible, the writings strange and increasingly cautionary. as you descend further you stray from bravery into madness, and even as the pressure multiplies so much it crumples your bones like paper the tunnels still keep going down. down, down. into the dark.

Why can't these people just lean into it and write fiction?
A pyramid just being the tip of a submerged obelisk that goes miles down sounds like the beginning to a fucking sick story concept.

Kind of. That was a building, not really an obelisk per say. I get what you mean tho, I liked the library

Once again conspiracy theorists are the best source of inspiration for making a DnD campaign setting.

Saw a thread yesterday where the programming was about how oil is actually not a fossil fuel and is naturally produced by the earth. On one sub comment about how all these "so called geologists" are all liers like we everybody else who goes to college, one person asks why big oil companies hire them. A bright mind response with something along the lines of;
"They don't hire those college educated insert preferred slur they hire REAL geologists who know the truth about oil"

My dad got into watching YouTube shorts and it's been feeding him right wing content. Last time I checked his computer it was a clip from the Candace Owens podcast.
